used polystyrene for bottom internal structure so as to reduce weight. The eye piece and other protrusions are modelled over toothpicks. Made for a friend who wanted one to add to her tardis cake she is making for her little boy's birthday. Hope she likes it....
5th Birthday cupcakes for my son's Kindergarten class. Chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling and chocolate ganache icing embellished with edible decorations letter Gs, number 5s and mini oreos. Inspired by nefgaby ('s) valentine cupcakes. Unfortunately my cups were too narrow at the bottom to provide adequate stablised support and they had a tendancy to topple over easily.
For my 5 year old's birthday. Cake is white chocolate mud cake with a tart raspberry buttercream and white chocolate ganache. Birthday Sack Boy is constructed with homemade rice crispie treats, coated in ganache then covered with fondant.

My sister in law tells me on Monday night that she is throwing a party this weekend for her 1 year old and is asking the guests to bring an Australian Native in lieu of a gift. Well - I had the waratahs, but couldn't resist throwing a few other bits and pieces together. Had 1 and a half days to made, dry, colour, pack and post so that they'd make it to her half way up the East Coast in time for her to make and decorate the cake. Had to wing it as I've not yet been given instruction in the wattle, gumnuts or flannel flowers - turned out OK under the circumstances thinks me :)
