Baby Shower Buttons
So struggled with this cake. The client brought me a baby shower invitation with an earth tone barnyard scene. I?m thinking this will be fun until she tells me she hates farm animals. She wants stripes and polka dots in earth tones with a pregnant lady on top. Well the cake looked liked faded do-do with those colors in stripes and polka dots. I had made some button molds from a tin of vintage buttons I got at a yard sell and convinced her to go that direction. I think it gave the cake moretexture and interest but I seriously disliked these colors.

Golf Ball, Golf Tee Cake
This was a practice cake to see if I could get a golf ball cake to stay on a tee. The golf ball is a 3 inch sphere cake. The tee is rkts. I put the tee around a small dowel with a plastic cable tie at the top of the tee. The golf ball in on a small piece of cake cardboard so it stops at the cable tie that is hidden by rkt and fondant. Not sure if it would work with a bigger golf ball but this one works for me.

Baby Bum / Rump
If I could, I would whomp in the head the person who first designed the baby rump cake. They give me the cannibal heebees. After having wiped many a baby rump, if I were a cannibal, that is the LAST thing I?d eat. But since the internet abounds with these cakes, I knew it was just a matter of time before I was asked to make one. To other cakers who feel like me, I hope this cake gives you the courage to make the rump if so called upon.
