Xbox 360 Halo Version
This is my first totally fondant cake. Xbox machine is Swiss chocolate cake made from a 13x9 pan and the controller carved from a 6 inch cake. Vanilla buttercream underneath fondant. I have to give credit to my son for helping me make some of the buttons and showing me where everything was to be placed on the controller. (He's the expert advisor. Lol) This cake is for my sons best friend, Patrick for a just for fun surprise! Poor kid, he always comes over when I'm making a cake and tells me it all smells so yummy and looks so epic, (lol) Patrick's words not mine. So, I decided to just make a surprise cake for him. He was totally speechless when he saw the cake. But, he loved it. The games on top are laminated pics. Halo 1-3 and Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Thanks for the inspiration from cake central members Lola78 and Tguess3494! I loved your xbox cakes!

Mountain Camping Cake
This was for my husband's birthday. It's a butter pecan cake with vanilla buttercream made in a 13x9x2 pan. Mountains are made with biscuits and a muffin top. lol Trees are ice cream cones. Picnic table is graham crackers. Tent has a base of graham crackers but covered in mmf. Rocks, sticks, and fireplace is all fondant. This was a very time consuming cake but it was a lot of fun! Hubby loved it!! As an afterthought, I remembered I was going to put in a fishing pole, but alas it didn't make it. Oh well, maybe next time!!

Blackberry Sugarfree Cake
I have to admit I actually did some baking cheats that I normally would never do. First I used Pillsbury's sugarfree devils food chocolate cake mix and shock of all shockers I used Pillsbury's sugarfree vanilla icing. It came out ok though. I added brown gel coloring to make the basketweave, which was my very first try at this technique. I know it doesn't look the best but everyone has to start somewhere. lol

Sugarfree Strawberry Cake
My very first diabetic/sugarfree cake. I used Pillsbury's sugarfree yellow cake mix. Found a diabetic icing and spread all over. Very different consistency than regular ps icing. Used strawberries on top and used blueberries as a border along the bottom. Made this cake in a sponge cake pan and just left the "hump". Made it a bit more interesting, I think. lol.

Tokio Hotel/zebra Cake
I made this cake for my daughter's birthday. She loves Tokio Hotel. Thanks to 7yrrt for all the ideas and inspiration for this cake. 10, 8, 6 tiers. Golden vanilla flavored cake with Black fondant zebra stripes. Everything else is buttercream. Star Topper was made with black tulle and black card stock turned into stars. Tokio Hotel logo medallions are laminated as is the pics of the guys in the band. Needless to say, but she LOVED it. She was absolutely ecstatic!!!

Sweetpea Flower Cake
This was a cake for my daughter Lisa who was returning to college. Its a 10 in round vanilla cake covered with buttercream. This is my first attempt at making sweetpea flowers. I used sweetpea flowers partly because that is my daughters nickname. Also, first try with the rope border. It came out okay, I think, considering the one screw up in the front. Didnt quite make it even with the cake edge. She still loved it, though!! I appreciate any comments and constructive criticism. Let me know what you think and Thanks for looking!

Strawberry Shortcake
This was my first filling type cake. I made this for my bestfriend, Mia for her birthday. A child at heart but she wanted a "big girl" themed Strawberry Shortcake. I used french vanilla and swiss chocolate box mixes using an extender recipe and layered with strawberry cream cheese with a hint of mango filling. Used 10' and 6' pans. Strawberry on top is fondant and the pic of Strawberry Girl is a laminated pic stuck into the strawberry with a toothpick. I didn't have an impression mat for the diamond "quilt" look so I did that manually. lol. That was hard. Scrollwork on bottom layer, I free handed but that was not an easier! lol This was a challenge for me as it was a first of many things for me. Didn't realize when I put the top layer on it would settle towards the back. So in the additional pics you will see it is leaning a bit. NOT what I intended but she loved it anyway and I have learned something along the way~!

Georgia Dawgs Football Cake
This is the first chocolate cake I ever did. It was so moist. The parents bought a kit from Walmart to put on the cake and said they just wanted it simple but I could design it anyway I wanted. I don't know much about football but since the parents gave me short notice for this, this was all I could do as I had another cake due the same day!

Brownie Cake
My friend, Stacy just wanted a simple brownie for her birthday. I used a Duncan Hines boxed mix and subbed in hemp oil for regular oil. This had such a good flavor to it that the birthday girl and another girl just about fought over the last piece. It was gone in a couple of hours at work. A simple single rose (buttercream frosting) adds to the brownie.

My Little Pony Cake
Made this cale for my niece Harley. She LOVES ponies, especially My Little Pony. I had so much fun with this cake! 10 in round, French vanilla cake with mm fondant accents-hearts, bridge, butterfly, rocks, lady bug, worm and side rainbow. Water is blue piping gel mixed with some glittery green gel to give it that blue-green water effect. Everything else is buttercream icing, except of course for the toy pony. This cake only took me 3 hours to decorate. I was very happy with this cake and it helped me get a new customer! Yay!

Harley Davidson Motorcycle Cake
My nephew wanted a Harley Davidson Motorcycle Cake. This was the first time I had ever used the Wilton cake spray's. I was okay with this cake. But, I feel I could have done better if I had been given a little extra time!! I used buttercream icing and marshmallow fondant.

Rose Cake
My young niece liked the roses that I had made on another cake (Personally, I didn't care for them that much. It was a first for me. But, nevertheless, Taylor wanted roses on her cake for her birthday. I attempted the multi-colored roses in the center. They came out okay, I guess. I personally think they look more like carnations, but she loved it, and that's what's counts. lol

Tinkerbell Cake On A Music Note
Ok, I know its kinda different but when you have a music lover that loves Tinkerbell you try to mix what they like. My daughter wanted this cake!! She was so thrilled and bragged to her friends that I make all her cakes!! She's so funny! (The eyes look a bit funny but I guess, I'll get better with time)
michel30014
Tinkerbell Cake
I traced a picture of Tinkerbell onto the cake, drawing in the details and filling/piping in with butter cream icing. I used the birthday girls favorite colors pink and black to create a different type of dress (designed by me) for her. She was thrilled with her cake! I used an 11x17 pan and a marble cake mix with Vanilla buttercream. (One day I will get better at the eyes!) lol

Golf Course Cake
My husband's favorite sport! I made this cake using a butter recipe from Duncan Hines. Pre-planned the design on paper first. I used pretzel sticks and icing for the trees, malted milk balls covered with black icing for the golf cart tires. card stock held by toothpicks on the cart and fruit roll up for the flag and bridge. crushed vanilla wafers for the "sand trap" and blue gel for the water.

Snow White Doll Cake
I bought the Snow White doll (It was the gift to my niece Kayla) and used a gardeny theme. She jumped up and down when she saw this cake! This was a lot of fun to make. 8x8 square on bottom, 2-9 in round and a domed bowl all in milk chocolate cake mix. Everything buttercream except candy rabbit, fake butterfly and red silk roses around the waist.
