My First Wedding Cake
I did it! My first wedding cake. My niece picked this out of the Wilton book. I was pretty pleased with my first attempt. Just out of curiousity, what would something like this cost to have made?
I wish now that I had taken the time to level the cakes. It would've made a big difference I think.
I did cakes for 3 girls who were having their reception together - So I tried to make them go together a little bit. I guess they were a big hit. Not many options for cakes around our area.... Everyone liked the originality of the cakes and thought they tasted great too.
This is for my brothers birthday. He has a new dog that's 1/2 basset and 1/2 beagle. I didn't have the correct pans to make this, so he's a little square I think. I got the directions from Brenda on the Wilton site. Anyway, my brother loved it!
Jory's 3Rd Birthday Cake
Okay Ladies... take it easy on me! This is my first stacked cake, my first time at basketweave and making clowns! I made this for my son's 3rd birthday... it was 3 layers, 3 colors, the middle layer had sets of 3 swiss dot's on it, the top layer had 3's all over it and there were 3 clowns! Jory loved it... that's all that matters!
I couldn't wait to try one of these pool party cakes. I obviously need to work on my features for my people. My son asked me why I didn't put hands on the red head, I told him I thought I should quit while ahead! Thank goodness this is for a close friend!
