Tom & Jerry Cake
When the request for a Tom & Jerry Cake came I wasn't really looking forward to making these detailed little characters as I don't really am very good at modeling fondant characters. Not to pleased with Jerry, but I did enjoy how Tom ended up. The cake itself was so much fun to make!

Disney's Ariel, The Little Mermaid Cake
The little girl and her mother begged me to make the little girl a birthday cake, even though I had a bad case of the flue the days before the birthday. In the end I started working on the decorations just 1 day before the cake was to be delivered. I feel it's not my best cake, but my little customer was ever so glad with her cake and that's what counts.

Umizoomi
My very first cake customer ever requested another cake for the Birthday of her youngest, who's currently in love with the TV character of Umizoomi. I didn't really know this character and checked google to find out it's some kind of robot. I try to make only 1 cake a week, but this week happened to be one of the few exceptions. Stressed out as I was over delivering 2 cakes within the same weekend I caught a terrible cold that week and didn't feel well at all, hence the not so original design of the cake.

Builder's Butt Crack Cake
My husband works in the building industry and wanted to treat his co-workers to a piece of cake on his Birthday. As I was extremely busy the week of his birthday and actually not feeling very well at the time, he decided to try his hand at this Builder's Bum Cake himself. I think it turned out very well!

Sesame Street's Elmo & Big Bird Cake
Gijs would be celebrating his 1st Birthday and his mom requested a Sesame Street Cake with Elmo as the star and if possible 1 or 2 other characters from the TV series. In Holland Big Bird has blue feathers, not yellow, in case you might be wondering ;). I loved working on this cake and am quite happy with how it turned out!

Elegance In Egg Shell Blue, White & A Touch Of Red
This customer really gave me carte blanche on the 30th Birthday Cake for her sister and just told me her sister loved the purple dotted shoe cake I in my portfolio. As it's one of my all time favorites as well, I decided we probably would have similar taste and came up with a totally different cake design that was on the top of my wishlist to make. I was glad to hear she loved the cake!

Sweet Sixteen In Pink & Orange Bling
Manouk turned 16 and though she's not at particularly into girly and pink all around, the request for her Sweet Sixteen Cake surprisingly did mention lots of Sweetness & Pink please. As I was a little bit bored with all the pink princess cakes I'd made over the last year, I decided to throw in some bright orange to spice it up. I was quite happy with how the cake turned out and luckily she was too!

Motorcycle Ajax Cake
My friends two boys celebrate their birthdays in October and November and they are the ultimate soccer fans, so their Birthday cakes always have a soccer theme and my inspiration was running dry. Luckily she decided her youngest also likes cars and motorcycles and asked if I could work with any of those themes, though some reference to her son's favorite Dutch soccer team would be appreciated. Hence the motorcycle on his way to the team's soccer stadium.

All The Colours Of The Rainbow (K3) Cake
One of the most popular songs from the Belgium/Dutch girlband "K3" is called "Alle Kleuren van de Regenboog" (all the colours of the rainbow), so when I was asked to make a K3 theme cake, I immediately thought of using this song. I had so much fun making this cake! The topper depicts the three singers of the band and their dresses are a replica of the actual dresses in the clip.

Kabouter Plop Toad Stool Cake
Though I declared a cake stop over the summer months, this cake was requested for my sister-in-law's little cousin. Could I please make a Kabouter Plop cake? Kabouter Plop and his friends are friendly little gnomes from yet another popular Belgium TV-series for children. This cake turned out to be so much fun to make. As I was "officially" on my summer break I intended to make a quick and easy cake, but as it progressed I simply couldn't stop adding more and more details. It turned out to be one of my favorite cakes now!

Mega Mindy Theme Birthday Cake
It seems all I make for little birthday girls are pink, pink and brighter pink cakes, as is this Mega Mindy cake. The Mega Mindy character comes from a popular Belgium tv-series for children, where whenever there's danger Mindy turns into this alter ego character Mega Mindy wearing a pink suit and mask and saves the world.

Colourful Pip Studio Style Wedding Cake
My second wedding cake ever and the couple requested a colourful cake in Pip Studio style with a bow on top. Unfortunately the humidity was so extreme the fondant literally melted off the cake and the bow loops just would not stand up straight, no matter what. So I quickly added some last minute pearls to cover the empty spaces in between and hoped for the best. I was so relieved to hear the wedding couple and their guests loved the cake!

Princess Dress Cake
While her twin brother requested a Lego City cake, his twin sister wanted a princess cake with pink as the main color. Like 90% of the boys want a soccer cake, 90% of the girls want a pink princess cake, so again I found myself struggling to think of something new and original (for me) to make, and came up with this cake that looks like a princess' dress.

Guess The Theme Cake
My own birthday cake.I had planned three cakes for the occasion, but as it usually goes I ended up with quickly fabricating this one small cake. I started late in the evening, finishing it late night, which I blame for not noticing I choose the most bumpy part of the cake as the front part. The cake was to celebrate my birthday at the office, so I didn't want the theme to be too distinctly. Instead this design might look a random nice colorful design to non-fans, but real fans should be able to recognize the theme immediately. Anyone..?

Lief! Themed Cake
Lief! style is a very popular accessories style in Holland. It's known for its cute, colorful (combination of) prints, a bit like Pip or Cath Kidston style. My daughter loves these styles and wanted a Pip style cake at first. As this style cake is very popular in Holland I struggled to find an original design, until my daughter came home with her new diary for next school semester and I immediately knew what cake to make for her birthday.

Fashionable Leopard Print Bling Cake
Eva requested a hip and fashionable leopard print cake with bling accessories. I'd never tried my painting skills on a cake; I'm always afraid to mess up a customers cake, so I first tried painting the shoe and shopping bag and I loved it! It's so easy to do (it helps that leopard prints don't need to be strictly clean sharp), with maximum effect.
