My very first wedding cake. This couple did not want a traditional wedding cake as their wedding wasn't very traditional either. They have been together for quite a few years already and have six year old son who they wanted to be portrayed on the cake as well. The bride's clothes would be in purple and red and many of their guests wore something of the same color(s), hence the choice for their wedding cake in purple and red. The cake was inspired by another Dutch cake lady's wedding cake in brown, not sure what her CC-name here is.

A Dolphin cake please for my daughter who's totally into dolphins and has her room decorated with dolphins everywhere. This comment made me somewhat nervous as this made me realise I would not get away with some fish/shark/dolphin like creature. Next I decided I wanted one of the dolphins to jump out of the water, but without any stick(s) visible, but how? The wave was actually desiged while working on it and as soon as that went to my satisfaction, I absolutely loved completing the tropical finishing touches of the cake. According to her mom and sister, Shelly was over the moon with her cake!
This Thomas the Tank Engine cake with matching cupcakes made for Aaron, who just turned 2. Found this cute design online (here?) and decided to use it for Aaron's cake, so credits to whoever created it first!
Jesper loves steam trains as well as Thomas the Tank, but as I'm supposed to make another Thomas the Tank train cake in 2 weeks from now, I decided to stick to the steam train theme.
I had planned to make a cake for the Holidays, but I never seemed to get myself to start decorating. First excuse was we had more than enough food for Christmas Day. Next excuse was we celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday on New Year's Eve, so she would take care of the cake. In the end I could not longer putt off due to the consume before date of the whipped cream and I ended up quickly putting together this cake.
This cake was made for two sisters that shared their birthday party, both born in December. The request was for a princess like cake, with lots of pink, hearts, flowers, bling, etc. There were 2 identical tiara's on top of this cake and each side of the cake has the name and corresponding age of one of the girls on it.
Wedding cake in the same colours and style as another Wedding Anniversary cake I made earlier this year. I ran out of gumpaste and bought a different brand gumpaste, unfortunately this new brand gumpaste turned out to be much whiter than the old gumpaste I used for the bottom two tiers. Pearl Spray mostly solved the difference in colour, the daughters of the happy couple said they hardly noticed it and loved the cake. Btw, it wasn't nearly as slant as it looks like on the picture (A).
Cupcakes decorated at my mom's request for her to treat at the choir she sings in. She'd bought the cupcakes at the local supermarket, unfortunately they were not all too even. They were a big hit anyway.
This cake was made for a little boy that adored Disney's Cars and Mack in particular, so the Mack character had to be on his cake for sure. He loved the Mack character which he immediately claimed as his to keep!
I'm not particularly a big fan of soccer (to say the least) but it seems all the little boys are and they all want soccer cakes for their birthdays. So I made my 3rd soccer cake in 1 month and my inspiration for creating some sort of original soccer cake is running dry. Luckily the birthday boy loved his cake!
Cake made for a lady that loves to play cards. Her daughter sent me a picture of her mom with the request to use it on the cake. As I'm not a big fan of photo prints on cakes, I spent (quite) some time using PhotoShop and came up with this Queen of Hearts card.
