This is a 10" square double layer, with butter cream frosting and gum paste flowers. The cake ended up being about 5" high so the basket weave was really easy.
This cake was for a little girl's 2nd birthday. 2 of the 4 layers were chocolate & the other 2 were lemon to stay with the yellow & black theme. It was iced in buttercream and everything else was fondant/gumpaste mixture.

Animals are made from fondant & gumpaste. The cake is yellow with chocolate mousse filing & buttercream frosting. My customer asked for specific animals, Yorkie, Poodle, Collie,(which doesn't really look like a collie but it was the best I could come up with), another dog & 2 cats which she specified colors. It is a birthday cake for 3 people.

I made this for a baby shower. The mom to be didn't know the sex of the baby so all the pastels worked.
