i made this cake as an entry to a cake competition that was unfortunately canceled. the theme was patriotic love. The practice was well worth it. the bottom is a 16"petal shape with 3 tiers 10"rd on top. inspired by Maggie Austin on the ruffles, Ron Ben-Israel for the rose heart .
this was for my grandson's 3rd birthday. i used the individual loaf pan with liners to make small cakes. lemon cake, strawberry filling and lemon buttercream. i used checkered napkins to wrap them in. lightenin mcqueen, sally and tow mater. the characters and flavors were his request.

Silver painted fondant. gumpaste peonies, tulips, sweet peas, ranunculus and hydrangeas. Poured Isomalt jewels, butterflies and fern fronds. 50/50 ribbon and bows.
