this was the cake that started it all for me. it was a repair job for my husbands coworker. the only thing on the cake was 2 small plain piped hearts and the word love. the darker blue border and darker blue dots on side. coworker was in tears over having to take it to a party. scraped off the hearts and replaced with what you see. my very very first cake for someone else.
buttercream piped cake with gumpaste flowers. cake was inspired by a quilt my grandmother had made me. Turns out the grooms grandmother had made one and the home burned. only pieces of quilts remained and they were framed and given out thru the family. bride and groom loved the cake. I was really proud to be a part of their beginning.
bought a plastic dora doll and stuck in cake. mmf fondant and buttercream for dress. plastic play tea cup sets purchases. mixed cake and bcf and spooned into cups. covered with chocolate frosting and made white chocolate "steam". Each little girl received their own cup of "tea" to eat at the party.

my hilarious attempt at pikachu. He was made from Wilton small teddy bear pan and covered in mmf. the balls were made in a rounded silpat pan, put togethor with buttercream and covered in mmf. all other decorations are all mmf.

this was my very first fondant cake. I was practising for an upcoming 16 yr old birthday cake.
This cake was made for a 1 yr old little boy who's birthday is on Christmas eve. My brother bought the family the elmo and snow baby as a keepsake gift. i put plastic wrap under it to keep it from getting stained and told them it was there. plastic fencing bought in the christmas decorations and piped ice cream cones for the trees. I used blue piping gel and differenct colors of edible glitter on top for the frozen lake.
