Star Wars Cake With Galaxy Cakeboard
I am made a Star Wars (Kylo Ren character) cake for a friend's child, and they wanted a galaxy cake board. I do not have airbrush equipment, so this is done with Wilton Color Mist sprays (violet, blue, black) and a spray bottle of homemade navy color (Royal Blue gel, Black gel mixed with some rum). I dabbed areas with wadded paper towel then splattered white icing on with a toothbrush. I then hit it with a little metallic shimmer spray and sprinkled areas with metallic pewter colored sanding sugar.

Surfin' Snoopy Birthday Cake
Crazy Snoopy is surfing in Charlie Brown's kiddie pool, on top of a beach ball no less! His "wake" gives Woodstock a nice pond for his sailboat. I only rememberd after we cut into the cake to place the gumpaste replica of my son floating on an inner tube down the waterfall. He was thrilled!

Cat In The Hat Cake
This is my FIRST topys turvy cake! All buttercream with fondant and gumpaste accents made for my 3-yr-old's birthday. The bottom cake is dark chocolate with Oreo cream filling, and the top is vanilla cake with strawberry cream cheese filling. I had lots of fun making this! The second pic just shows the cake before decorations went on.

Giant Cupcake Cake
My son's second 6th birthday cake. I had made a Mario cake to celebrate his bday on Christmas with family. But his actual bday is two days later, so I made this one for at home. The cupcake base is made of candy melts that were melted and then poured into the cupcake pan to make a mold. The cake was a confettie cake.

Flower Pot Cake
This is a CRAZY over-the-top flower pot cake that my 5-year-old son and I made for my husband's birthday. The "flowers" are iced sugar cookies that my son helped decorate. Accents are all fondant. The cake was dark chocolate with Andes mint chips mixed in and was filled with mint buttercream. The top "dirt" inside the pot is chocolate ganache.

Giant Cupcake Cake
This was my first time baking a cake using the Wilton's giant cupcake pan. I used lavender colored candy melts to make a mold of the bottom of the cupcake for the "liner." The cake was made from scratch and is a lemon poundcake with sprinkles to make it look like a Funfetti cake. The frosting was just the Pillsbury white. It took TWO cans to do the top! The pan was temperamental to work with. and took 30 minutes longer to bake the bottom half then the directions stated. Next time I'll be prepared for that!
