When I saw my daughter's "photobooth" pics she had taken of herself on her phone, I had her take pics of her best friends. I then had them pick out their favorite pose and color and made frozen buttercream transfers (with chocolate melts) of each picture. I was going for the colorful poster effect. The kids loved the cake.
This cake was made for my twin nephew's 5th birthday. They wanted bugs and monsters and could'nt decide so we did both! The monsters are cupcakes which I got the idea from the "Hello Cupcake" book. I placed gummy bugs and worms all around and even made some ants out of chocolate covered peanuts. I made one monster fishing (Swedish Fish candy) and the other has a fruit roll-up tongue trying to catch the ants marching out of their ant hill. I made several other monster cupcakes and placed them around the cake. This was fun to do and the boys loved it! TFL

These are cupcakes I made to go with a Hawaiian Luau theme cake. Buttercream frosting covered in graham cracker crumbs. flowers are made of fondant with a decorative toothpick in the middle.

I made these cakes for two 8 yr. old boy cousins celebrating their First Holy Communion. One is chocolate and the other French Vanilla. Buttercream frosting and fondant accents. Thanks to so many other CC users for their insipiration. I loved the tile look as I didn't want anything too feminine.

Horton is mae of rice crispy cereal and covered in chocolate modeling clay. This is my first time making a rice crispy creature and first time making and using modeling chocolate. Horton's "clovers" were made by dipping donut holes into melted chocolate.
