This was a cake for a first birthday of a boy who had already traveled around the world in his first year! The earth is fondant covered devils food cake and the base is red velvet with cream cheese frosting. The travel figures on the side were made from gum paste molded in a clay set of travel figures...you can't see them all, but there were planes, luggage, boats, and cars. The globe is just resting on a plastic solo cup that I cut to size, which worked really well.

Fondant covered boat with gum paste sail and nautical flags on a cream cheese frosted red velvet cake. The nautical flags spell the birthday girl's name. Wish I had more time on it, but oh well good enough.
