60Th Wedding Anniversary
Made this for a sweet couple at my church who will soon celebrate their 60th. They aren't having a formal celebration so I just made this for them as a gift. Ruffle gumpaste flowers and upside down ruffle technique. 6" coconut (her favorite) and 4" pineapple (his favorite). Sorry for the poor pictures

Blue Hydrangea 25Th Wedding Anniversary
Made for a friend's 25th wedding anniversary this past Saturday. Took ideas from several similar cakes here on cake central. Blue hydrangeas were chosen because she wore a light blue dress 25 years ago. It was a simple wedding, on a Thursday at lunch and they didn't have a cake or reception. Several of the pictures I took at home before the 25 (made of gumpaste and painted with silver luster dust) were put on but am including one with the 25 on. The "C" is their last name initial. If you've seen several of my other recent cakes, you know I'm in love with that vertical ruffle. But instead of doing it all the way around the sides of the cake I decided to try and see how it looked with partial ruffles spaced out to kind of give a 3-d effect? All in all, very happy with how it turned out.

R2D2
For my great nephew's 6th birthday. Idea from several different similar cake pics on Cake Central. 4 - 6" rounds and then a half-ball (baked in a pyrex bowl) for the head. The arms were twinkies (3 for each arm) secured with a long skewer through the whole arm and then toothpicks to secure to the side of the cake. Buttercream icing with fondant accents. Thanks for looking

Pink & Brown Ruffles
This was for a friend's mom who turned 80 today. Pictures are horrible and don't do this cake justice. But in person, the pink color was so delicate and against the chocolate ruffles...well, those pink & brown ruffles just looked awesome. Marble fudge cake with bavarian creme filling, chocolate buttercream and almond flavored buttercream. Buttercream roses with hershey's kiss in center of each rose. Gumpaste 80.

Baby Shower Cake Using Baby Mold
First time using the first impressions baby mold. Took me 4 tries using the baby mold to get one that looked halfway decent but I guess I'll get the hang of it. Thanks to those in the forum who answered my questions and gave me advice. Didn't have any brown petal dust so read in the forum that lots of people use cocoa powder so that's what I used. But in some of the pictures the hair looks red but it was light brown. Colors were brown, beige and white although the chocolate fondant looks black in these pictures. Inspired by another cake here on cakecentral.

Dahlia & Frills Play Cake
So I've been wanting to try my hand at both the dahlia flower (from tutorial here on cake central) and fondant frills (from several different youtube videos) so this is what I came up with. Did not have frill cutter so just used round cutters. Not quite what I was thinking but I did learn alot. The lighting on these are horrible so you can't tell that the pink frills all complement each other. In fact in some of these the bottom frills looks orange but they were all different shades of pink. Thanks for looking and Happy Easter!!!!

Easter Bonnets & Cross Cupcakes
Delivered these today for ladies' church easter luncheon. 1 dozen orange cupcakes with twinkie filling and Easter Bonnets made from directions on Wilton Site. 1 dozen strawberry cupcakes with strawberry pastry filling and they wanted yellow icing with purple cross. Hard to tell in the pictures what the colors truly are but the purple was beautiful!!! Used the satin ice purple and it is a deep rich color. Bonnets were pink, purple and yellow. Including pictures of the bonnets from the side and back also. Thanks for looking!!
