Made for a friend's 25th wedding anniversary this past Saturday. Took ideas from several similar cakes here on cake central. Blue hydrangeas were chosen because she wore a light blue dress 25 years ago. It was a simple wedding, on a Thursday at lunch and they didn't have a cake or reception. Several of the pictures I took at home before the 25 (made of gumpaste and painted with silver luster dust) were put on but am including one with the 25 on. The "C" is their last name initial.

If you've seen several of my other recent cakes, you know I'm in love with that vertical ruffle. But instead of doing it all the way around the sides of the cake I decided to try and see how it looked with partial ruffles spaced out to kind of give a 3-d effect? All in all, very happy with how it turned out.
