This was a very last minute cake, and the customer told me to do what ever I wanted, but had to be done in 24 hours. This what I came up with. Chocolate cake with candy cane filling. gum paste ornaments, lights and pointsetta. cake covered in buttercream.

I became obsessed with Noel buche, when i saw something on Tv years ago about this French Cake pastry. Folk lore is you make them and make look like a log. Then given as gifts so that they can bring good luck, prosperity, and good will in the new year. My Noel de buches have gum paste holly leaves and white pointsettas, I am making sme with red pointsettas. The sponge is chocolate with a french butter cream filling. The bark is a chocolate caramel butter cream. there is opal sugar sprinkled on the log to give it a glisten like has some light snow on it.
Just finished a birthday cake for another co-worker. this one since it is Christmas season calling Christmas Birthday is Chocolate cake with a peppermint candy cane filling and butter cream. Candy clay roses and pointsettas and had holly spell out happy birthday which also made out candy clay. My R.A is really acting up tonight so my handy was so shaky doing her name, but it the thought that counts!
I did this for a girl at work who is OBSESSED with Elvis. The entire cake is buttercream including elvis who I hand drew/piped onto the cake. The cake itself is a red vevelvet, but I tinted blue instead red to make blue velvet with banana and peanut butter fillings.
felt bad for a girl at work we sorta forgot her birthday, so I made this cake in a hurry for her, but really pleased with results. The flowers and butterflies are made of gumpaste, this I did color mist in purple and yellow for nice effect, sdid a shimmer gel indicating the flying of the butterflies, and that hard to see in the pictures but really cool effect on cake because it clear. I made a peanut butter cookie dipped in dark chocolate then molded fall chocolates brushed in a little bronze luster dust to bbring out the details of the leaves and pumpkins chocolates. I attached them when the dark was still wet. they are all part of care packages for our solderier over seas.
I was asked to make cookies to send over to Iraq as part of care packages, so did a nice sugar cookie with a hard icing. I got that wilton cookiing icing. I think nest time I would hand paint the veins in icing then use that. It was bit too thick
I donated 5 Dozen Hand painted sugar cookies to our local sheltor as a fundraiser over labor day holiday. It was called the Dog Faire. I did basic sugar cookie and used a glaze recipe I make that dries really hard and shiney, and I colored some the glaze and hand draw/paint with it on the cookies the dogs and bones. It actuall went pretty easy once I had an assembly line going. These were a big hit at the faire.
A girl at work loves frogs fishing and the color purple, so did a lemon cake with black cherry filling (her favorite flavors which tatse really good together) Made the frogs out candy clay. the lake with vanilla butter cream
This lemon honey cupcake, I used honey in place of sugar for the cake and the icing also has a touch honey in it, it was for local Honey festival.

My father has a 68 camero, that he has been restoring for the last 20 some years, Every birthday,christmas, fathers day we buy parts for this car, well he finally fininished it fathers day this year. So my mom said can I do his car, Since this will be the first birthday we are not giving a car part, So I found a graphic of a 68 camero and did the frozen buttercream technique I saw here and was able to do the car, adding his blue and white stripes his car has. The cake itself it chocolate with a crusting buttercream frosting.
It a good thing decided to practice this cake the humidity was so bad thebutter cream would not set, the pearls were drooping, but work loved to eat this disaster LOL
This only the 3rd cake I have made, so still learning all the tricks LOL My work friends asked if I can make this and they said she moving to Michigan and she likes pink. I did a vanilla bean cake then put a thin layer of raspberry puree on the top, then poured dark chocolate ganche on top that. Used a pink crusting buttercream The viva paper towl one I found on here.. I wanted it to look worn, this girl moved alot before we met her, lightly airbrushed a few worn streaks onto it. I used this texture mat and hard to see in this picture, to make the butter cream look like crocadile, add a few Ivory polka dots and made the flowers, cording,handle, ohio and Michigan out gumpaste.
A friend asked me to make a first holy communion cake. Im still new at the cake thing so I was nervous. I made a chalis out of gumpaste, using one my fancy wine goblets as the mold, paiting it with a gold luster dust. She asked if i could put her son's name in the host I painted the host with an opal luster dust so it looks like it had a "glow" to it. She also asked I would do a purple drape like what is in an on the alter. I am happy with the results.
This my first time to do sculpted cake, and was for my birthday. The cake it self is a french vanilla cake with layers of lemon and raspberry mousse fillings. Butter cream fondant and chocolate hibiscus flowers.
