Converse Shoes, Guitar Case And Wine Bottle
We were very honored to be invited to create a custom cake for the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern. The owner was turning 50 and this cake represents all his favorite things, his guitar case (complete with edible replicas of his stickers), his favorite bottle of wine (with a poured sugar red wine spill) and of course his converse shoes! (He wore these shoes in his wedding!)

Star Wars Death Star Cake
We were asked to make a death star cake for a 5 year old. There is so much more detail in this cake than a 5 year old will ever appreciate but my boyfriend loved every second of this cake. People have been asking for details so I will share (though it was pretty straight forwad... just slow!!!) 6" wilton ball cake torted and filled and covered in buttercream (Indy Debi's buttercream with Cream subbed for milk) Then covered in grey fondant and airbrushed for pewter effect. All accents are fondant. 72 panels were each hand cut from dark grey fondant, the "equitorial trench is black fondant. Then we spent 9 hours combined cutting various little black strips for the wires/conduits and then used tip #3 to punch red Lights, #2 to punch white and yellow lights and #4 to punch green laser points. Lastly it was lightly airbrushed again with pearl sheen. Total was about 851 pieces and 25 man hours to complete... so worth it :) Thanks for looking!

Grey And Yellow Ribbon Wedding Cake
The bride asked for a simple cake with grey (as this was what her bridesmaids were wearing). I also knew that her flowers were all yellow and she was wearing AMAZING yellow designer shoes under her dress so I went out on a limb. She and I were both very happy with the final product.

Wine Crate Cake
I have seen soooo many beautiful Wine Crates on here that when a friend of mine who LOOOOOVES wine asked me to "surprise him" I need exactly what to do! I read a forum on here advising different techniques for the bottles. SUPER helpful. I went with Fondant draped over the bottles and left to dry. I also read to paint it with vegetable oil and water on here which made it INCREDIBLY shiney for the delivery (you could actually see your reflection!!!) nothing but fondant, cake and buttercream! Oh and the straw was run through my speghetti cutter on my pasta maker and then airbrushed :)

Custom Guitar Replica Cake
I made this replica of a custom built guitar for the builder. He was thrilled!! I on very proud of this one. The hardest part BY FAR was the strings. These were fishing line threaded on a dowel, then around a popsicle stick at the head and then tied to toothpicks at the very top!

My Monster Curly Fry
I recently took Character Sculpting- Monsters 301 taught by Lauren Kitchens and hosted at Flour Confections in Toronto (Pickering) Ontario, Canada. HUGE thanks to both. It was an amazing learning experience (and I would highly recommend both). This is my monster. We named her Curly Fry as her hair looked like french fries and then when I curled it it looked like curly fries :) She is made of RKT and modelling chocolate!

Poky Little Puppy
This cake is a combination of the Debbie Brown puppy from her new book and The Poky Little Puppy which was my favorite book growing up. All I knew is I wanted a white and brown dog but only realized half way through that the image in my head was that book from my childhood :) Love this cake (I hope I can upload additional pics) have not been able to on the last 4 cakes I uploaded! ARGH!

R2-D2!!!!!
I was sooooo excited to do this cake! And could not wait to tell my boyfriend!! I knew he would be so jealous of the kid receiving this kid. I also knew that the die hard fans out there would not accept a half-assed R2 and I needed to be thorough. THe most exciting part about this cake is that it inspire my boyfriend to try his own hand at fondant and so he and I made a life sized storm trooper helmet to match R2 just for fun!

Hyundai Tuscon
This is actually a cake topper as I wanted the recipient to be able to keep it a while :) It is for a 50 year old man who bought his first ever car last year, a 2009 Hyundai Tuscon. He LIVES for this car! It is all he talks about so the pressure was high to get every detail bang on! I snuck to where I know he parks to photograph his truck from EVERY angle (including license plate :) It is RKT. I am very proud of this one!

This Is A Snow Globe Cake Inspired By The Beautiful Ones I Have Seen On Here Someone Wanted This As A New Years Eve Cake I Love The Vase
This is a snow globe cake inspired by the beautiful ones I have seen on here. Someone wanted this as a new years eve cake. I LOVE the vase that I used. Cant wait to use it to make a gum ball machine! Also the first time using my new phototent (I have since ironed it to remove the wrinkles). I got feedback from someone on here that they thought my cakes were good but that something as simple as more porfessional pictures would make all the difference. I really appreciated that constructive criticism and obviously listened :)
