Gift Box And Purse Cake Camo
This was for my daughter's 6th birthday. Everything is fondant and the camo was hand painted on the box and purse. I did have a problem with the handle on the purse. I thought it was dried stiff and so I took out the paper towel that was holding it up and soon after it started to fall and break in half....oh well, she loved it anyways and was so excited!

Thomas The Tank Engine Cake
I made this for my son's 4th birthday. He loved Thomas when he was healthy and able to play and watch him. He might not be able to see anymore but he still loves to listen to Thomas music and movies. So this was a special cake especially for him! It got a bit beat up by the H in happy birthday cause I just about dropped this cake facedown on the floor before I put the red icing on it! I had just started and went to move the cake and it went sliding off the turntable I had it on!! my mom caught it on its way to the floor! thank goodness for fondant!! all fondant except for the red icing which is just cream cheese icing from the store. wasn't planning on using it till the end.

Xbox 360 Cake
I made this for my 15 yr old step son for his b-day. He was so excited. All fondant decorations. I kinda accidentally crushed the handles on the control when I was painting...oops. And I think I shaped the cake when it wasn't cold and got alot of crumbs and bumps. Oh well, it was a short notice cake and had last night to make the cakes and this morning I decorated it for this afternoon! Talk about rush job! I think it came out pretty good for a rush job though. TFL

Rainbow Cascade Birthday Cake
I made this for my sister in law for her birthday. It is all fondant decor, but the rainbow cascade and that is painted on. We had to travel an hour and a half with this cake and so it got a bit damaged on the bottom on the ride, but not too bad. This is the only picture I have of this picture because I forgot to take pictures myself. Thankfully my sister in law took a picture at least! Not the best picture to capture what it looked like cause the cake should have been turned to the right to be a front look. The cascade was going off to the side of the cake and not centered like shown. I'll have to remember to take my own pictures next time to get the full effect. TFL

Brown And Teal Anniversary Cake
I made this for my parents anniversary. I did this in one day! I had very short notice to do this one and get it to them 3 hours away via my brother. It was my first time making flowers and my first time really doing piping work. My hand was super shaky and I think my icing was a bit thick cause it wasn't flowing very smoothly and kept cutting off. So the 2 combinations made it hard to do it but overall I think it turned out pretty good. I finally got my fondant all smooth with no wrinkles! The cake is chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream. The outside is all fondant and the brown fondant is all chocolate fondant. The piping is royal icing flavored with raspberry extract. YUM! The design was inspired by my mom's bible case! TFL

Halo Birthday Cake
My husband's bf is really into the video game Halo. So I made him this chocolate cake with peanut butter fluff buttercream (got the recipe on here, thanks to who's is was!! YUMMY!) and it is covered in Satin Ice Black fondant. The helmet on top is made of a RKT covered in fondant. The figure on the bottom is actually a printed and cut out picture I got off the internet and its just stuck on the side. It was too detailed to try and do for only my 4th cake! The helmet was challenge enough! I painted the details on with luster dust mixed with alcohol. I wasn't planning on putting the green border around the bottom of each, but I had a problem with my frosting and I don't think I added enough powdered sugar and it was too soft and was coming out the bottom and softening the fondant big time! I had to use something quick to "hide" the mess! It worked for the most part! TFL

Gift Box And Purse Cake
I made this for my 8 yr. step-daughter's birthday. Overall I think it came out ok but I had major problems with this cake in the building and decorating of it. It's not perfect by any means and it was starting to slouch after I stacked it. It turned out sort of like I had pictured but it had many flaws for sure. Everything is fondant except for the handle on the purse which is gumpaste and the dots on the purse which are royal icing. This is only my 3rd fondant cake, so I've got a lot to learn yet. My daughter loved it though! That's what counts at this point.

Star Wars Cake
This was a cake that I made last minute for my nephew. We had just gotten out of the hospital with our son and so my mind was a bit scatter brained. I put 4 on the cake and he was turning 5! OY! My brother just laughed and understood. I had about 3 hours to decorate this cake and it is make out of fondant everything but the writing and that was just regular store bought frosting. I encountered many problems with this cake and had to make many improvisions! My mixer died so I had nothing to whip any sort of frosting with. Not fun! Overall, my nephew loved it, so that was the blessing I guess. I did make the figures ahead of time but had a hard time with making them and having them look decent without the fondant scrunching on me while trying to make them.

Camo Cake/woodsy
This was my first fondant cake and stacking cake! It is a peanut butter cake with chocolate filling. Covered in Wilton's white fondant and all decorations made in the same fondant. Camoflauge was done with green and black spray color and then hand painted dark green and brown with a mixture of vodka and food coloring.
