Butterfly Mini-Tutorial
Thought I would share my process for making some beautiful butterflies. I cut out gumpaste butterflies with just regular cookie cutters. Line the inside of a cardboard box with wax paper, and put butterflies along the corner. this will let them dry with their wings part way up. Let them dry completely. Then, use black icing color to outline, and paint veining. Once the weining dries you can add color. For a beautiful iridescent butterfly (you can't really see the irridescence in the pic, sorry!) brush with luster dusts. For a bolder butterfly, like the Monarch, fill in with more icing color "paint". Enjoy!

Dolphin Love
Made this for my daughter's 6th birthday. She loves dolphins and hearts, so I made dolphins, bubble hearts, fish and coral. My daughter made a good portion of the coral, and she and her little sister did most of the 'painting' on it the coral. The bottom tier is strawberry and vanilla layers with strawberry cream filling, the middle tier is chocolate with raspberry filling and the top is strawberry with strawberry cream filling.

Snowflake Cupcakes
I left my 5-yr-old and my 2-yr-old with gumpaste, snowflake cutters, sanding sugar, dragees, and pearl dust. They made all of the snowflakes,. Then I iced some cupcakes, let them help sprinkle more sanding sugar and such, and added their snowflakes on top. I think they did a great job!
