the woman the bridal shower was for had these deep pink / reddish cherry blossoms on her wedding invitations.... this was made to look just like that. The flowers are royal icing and everything else is buttercream.

This was for a bridal shower that had a "Valentines Day" theme. The customer requested daisies and any flowers except roses. One cake is vanilla with strawberry filling and the other is strawberry cake with buttercream filling. Everything is buttercream except the hearts that the names are written on (those are fondant hearts) and the flowers are all made of royal icing.

I also put little yellow dots on mini-cupcakes so that they could be set up on the table to look like pacman was chomping on the dots, and the ghosts were chasing him. All the toppers (pacman, dots, ghosts) are made of royal icing. The icing underneath is buttercream

I learned 2 things on this cake: don't put a lot of filling in a cake that has something kinda heavy on top of it and don't put the blocks so close to the edge of the cake. Letters on the blocks are royal icing (the front says AVA (the baby's name) - the top says BABY - and the backs of the blocks said ALISON (the mom's name). Everything but the letters on the blocks in buttercream
