This square chocolate butter cream cake is adorned with hand make rice paper tukey feathers and gum paste shotgun shells. People kept asking if the shotgun shells were real. I took that as a good sign.

These chocolate cupcakes are iced in BC. I used MMF for the tents and simple stick pretzels for the camp fire logs. Red striping on a bag filled with orange BC turned out the fire.
This is a butter pecan cake with caramel pecan filling. I started with a 9" round then cut gradually smaller circles from several sheet cakes until I got the general shape. Then I carved a little at a time until I got a nice smooth cones shape. The whole thing is iced in BC. I used red curling ribbon for the curliques at the top. The hat matched the plates/napkins at the party. I got lots of compliments but my 2 year old was just interested in the icing :)
I made this 2 tier Lightning McQueen Cake for a friend's 3 year old. A 9" and 6" iced in buttercream with fondant accents. Everything is edible except the car. That was my gift to Gabriel.
