This is a butter pecan cake with caramel pecan filling. I started with a 9" round then cut gradually smaller circles from several sheet cakes until I got the general shape. Then I carved a little at a time until I got a nice smooth cones shape. The whole thing is iced in BC. I used red curling ribbon for the curliques at the top. The hat matched the plates/napkins at the party. I got lots of compliments but my 2 year old was just interested in the icing :)
