Chocolate cake with Baileys buttercream of course. Covered in chocolate fondant with handpainted labels and royal icing piping.

Classic Pooh Baby Shower
My husband's best friend of 25 years and his wife recently had their first baby so I did the shower cake. The nursery is Classic Winnie the Pooh so I put a girly twist on it! Cakes are iced in buttercream with MMF decorations. Decorations on top are gumpaste. I got to use my airbrush for the first time! Pooh bears were cut out and hand-painted with gel colors.

Fall Colors Bridal Shower
Designed to match the wedding invitation & incorporated the wedding flowers. 5" & 8" tiers covered in MMF. Stencilling done with petal dust (I wanted to try something different but found it a bit messier than using RI). Fabric ribbon border, gumpaste gerbera daisies & sign.

Superman Saves Lois Lane From The Falling Cake Tier!
First of all, yes the cake is supposed to look like this! The bride & groom showed me a picture they found online of a James Bond type cake and wanted me to replicate the top tier "falling off" to incorporate their Superman & Lois Lane topper. Thanks to the advice from the ladies at my local decorating supply store, and help from my husband with the physics part, this is the result. The tiers are 6, 8, 10 & 12 inches. The top tier is a dummy. I used hollow pillars, with dowels going through the 2 left pillars from the bottom of the 8 inch tier up into the dummy (so the dowel is at an angle inside the dummy). The cake board is resting on the back right pillar and secured with RI. My husband took a hacksaw to the front right pillar to add to the effect. As for the rest of the cake, it is covered in MMF, with fabric ribbon border, RI piping, and gumpaste gerbera daisies & calla lilies. The groom told me the DJ had to make an announcement that the cake was supposed to look like this because people kept trying to fix it! Thanks for looking!
