First time using fondant. Hate to eat it but it does make a pretty cake. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out since I am sick and wasn't too excited about making it.
This is a chocolate cake I made for a co-worker (God bless my co-workers for giving me cake decorating opportunities) It is all buttercream except the little plastic rattles. I was pretty happy with it, but I still need to work on my writing and spacing of letters.
This is a cake I found on wilton.com My bunnies aren't as cute but I was pleased with how it turned out. All is buttercream icing and then I just added some chocolate covered egg candies around the grass border.

This is my finale cake from course 2! I love the basketweave technique and I love being able to make flowers in advance and then quickly whip together a pretty cake when necessary. This cake was done in January of this year, and I am about to start course 3 next week. (have been waiting for Michaels to offer it) I can't wait to learn more!

Hi everyone, I am relatively new to decorating cakes. I have taken Wilton course one and two and about so start course three!! I am absolutely obsessed with cake decorating and learning new methods. My goal is to finish my courses, practice my butt off and hopefully get a job at a local bakery. Eventually I want to specialize in making wedding and anniversary cakes. I love all types of cake decorating, but I do lean more toward the formal more elegant decorating. This is a simple cake I made for a co-worker. Vanilla buttercream on a yellow cake. Two daffodils and little peach colored flowers (that I love making). I'm still working on my "cake handwriting" lol. It scares me everytime I have to write something on a cake, but I guess it will get easier and easier with time.
