Sam's Beach Graduation
Made for a beach theme graduation party. First time making fondant figures (little graduation cap on Sam) Top cake is chocolate filled with chocolate hazelnut buttercream covered with marshmallow fondant sprinkled with sand (vanilla wafers and graham crackers) Bottom is 12 x 18 yellow/pound cake filled with strawberry preserves mixed with buttercream. Royal blue piping gel mixed to make darker and white caps on top. Made fence, umbrellas etc from fondant/gumpaste. Palm trees were fondant covered pretzel sticks. Funky tappit lettering has pixie dust on it.

Marine Corps Memorial Day Cake
I made this cake for a friend who's Dad and Brother served and her son is in the Junior Marines program. First attempt with fondant on a whole cake so I was pretty pleased overall. Fondant covers mistakes well LOL. It is a 2 layer 9 inch Hershey's collector cake recipe I found here (Thank you great recipe) filled and iced with Chocolate hazelnut buttercream. Covered in MMF. Insignia is candy molds (after a bad attempt at tempering white chocolate) painted with gold luster dust. Doesn't show up well but the stars on the side have pixie dust glitter on them. Thanks for looking!

Ashley's Pooh Cake
Made for my 12 year old's 1st birthday. Saw this in the Wilton yearbook and knew I was going to try it. Took me a week to make those cookies (which I still have wrapped and stored LOL) Then when I was just about done the whole 'bark' or base of the tree came unstuck and fell on the cake. I darn near passed out! Scooped it up and stuck flowers on the 'mud' Live and learn for one of my first cakes I was very proud but now it would be so much better.
