Fish Cake
My father wanted "something with a fish on it" to take to work for his birthday. This is what it ended up with. Though it's not quite what I had in mind, I'm resonably happy with how it turned out, but next time I attempt something like this I want an airbrush!! It's coffee and walnut cake with dark chocolate ganache, covered in fondant and handpainted.

Dotted Cake
The original idea was that there should be a loop bow on top, but nothing about this cake went right. It was also supposed to have been with chocolate ganache filling, but that curdled, and the first cake wasn't bake through when I split it. Instead I made raspberry mousse. All the decorations are fondant and I think it turned out all right in the end, though a bit bumpy.

Boy's Christening Cake
Christening cake for my best friend's son. I found the idea here on CC. I would liked to have made the clothes more detailed, but I had just been sick and wasn't feeling all that well. The cake is covered in fondant, clouds are very thick RI, and sunbeams are dried fondant glued on with RI. Top and middle tiers are vanillacake with raspberry SMBC, bottom is chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream.

Jack O'lantern Cake
Cake for my new colleagues who doesn't understand when I say my hobby is cake decorating. Hopefully this will explain better than words. It's vanilla cake with raspberry SMBC covered in fondant. Bottom is 8", top is 7" carved and with a sports ball pan on top. Now my problem is, how do I get it to work on the bus?

White And Black With Red Flowers
Carrot cake with orange buttercream. Covered in fondant, stripes are royal icing and the flowers fondant. This was my first attempt at making gerberas, but not the last. I think they turned out all right. The stripes, on the other hand, were not easy to make. My hands shook too much for them to be straight.

Stamps On Fondant
I don't know if this has ever been done before, so it's mostly a trial, but I think it turned out pretty good. Of course, it can also be done on a fondant covered cake. I used rubber stamps and applied Sugarflair food colouring paste with a fine brush, then very lightly pressed it on the some thin fondant.
