Gardening Cake

This was done for a friend who was graduating as a Master Gardener. The soil is crushed oreos, all the vegetables were made in fondant (even the carrots which are mostly buried) and the leaves and stems were piped.

Ruby Wedding

I made this cake for a small family celebration of my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary. It was inspired by a cake from " Contour Wedding Cakes" by Mich Turner. I love piped designs but definitely need to practice some more. The cake is rich chocolate with ganache frosting.

Nerf And Despicable Me

My son was having a nerf gun party and really loved Despicable Me so wanted both represented on his 4th birthday cake. The top layer is surrounded by nerf gun darts (chocolate cigars dipped in candy melts) and the bottom layer is covered in 'minions" from the movie. The minions were really fun to do and the darts were delicious!

Pikachu Pokemon

Thanks for the inspiration here for this cake. I didn't even know who Pikachu was before my daughter asked me for this cake for her birthday. The pokemon ball is cake, the little figure is fondant and the lightening bolt is gumpaste.

Wharton Graduation

This was made for a graduation picnic. The crest is from University of Pennsylvania and is made from fondant with piped buttercream details. The cake is a carrot cake with crusting creamcheese frosting.

Dress Cake

Thanks for the inspiration for this cake from other CCers. It was a vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream. It was my first time doing rolled roses and I was delighted with how quick they were to do.

Black And White

This cake was inspired by a "Pink Cake Box" cake but I used a different cutter, didn't make it topsy turvey and removed the top layer. I made little sugar crystals for the bottom layer which were a little rough and ready but still give a nice effect! The cake was strawberry to complete the color theme of black, white and pink.

Orange And Blue

The design was inspired by the invitations but it wasn't a direct copy. The cake was chocolate espresso cake with chocolate ganache filling so pretty rich and delicious. Ganache is fantastic under fondant! Piping is done in RI and the daisies are gumpaste.

Cake Truffle Tower

This was made for a bridal shower where the flower theme was blue hydrangias. The cake balls were double chocolate coated in two layers of white chocolate. The flowers were piped royal icing.
