This cake was made out of Six 9x13 pans ~ White Vanilla Cake & BC. DH cut out board for me out of MDF so 6 cakes plus MDF equals a cake that weighs a ton!!!!! My DH had to deliver it for me because I could not lift it up! It took up the entire back of my Ford Expedition and then it would not fit through the venue's door!!! Learn some lessons on this one. Client wanted very simple, only white ~ I added the strawberries beause I thought it needed "something". She loved it. Client gave me this pic.
BC w/Fondant Balls & Graham Crakers for Buildings w/Color Flow Bat Signal. Client wanted a cake with all three characters present so this is what I came up with. Fun to make and the 2 year old boy loved it.
BC icing w/BC roses & Gum Paste Lettering & numbers. The lettering was beautiful ~ painted w/pearl dust and then sprinkled w/silver shimmer; however, when I dropped it off at the venue it was ssssooooo dark in there you could hardly see it!!!!!
BC frosting with 5 color flow pieces. Client did not want any colored icing on the cake. Cake did not travel well (50 miles) but the client was very happy and it tasted GREAT!
Used Piping Gel for the first time to create the American Legion's metals. They looked like stained glass so I wanted something to look like glass. Piping Gel worked out well, I think. :)
White cake w/Buttercream frosting w/raw sugar added for sand - realized later that brown sugar would have worked. :( This was for a beach theme baby shower.
