Graduation Cake Tiger
8" square with BC icing and BCT. First time doing a BCT and WOW I love it! Why didn't I try it before.......... Still do not like icing square cakes... just can't seem to get the hang of it like a round cake.. so I had to add vertical corner borders to hide my not perfect corners. :(

Golf Cake
8" square covered in fondant w/fondant golfer and accents. Client sent me a picture of cake she found on line. I modified it some to her request ie: skin color, outfit & age on flag. Having fun modeling fondant; however, still having a tough time covering cakes w/fondant. Added the "bushes" as border to help camouflage my mistakes.

Triskel Wedding Cake
This is my FIRST wedding cake & I am so glad that it was a small one. The mother ordered it two days ago as a suprise for her daughter who is getting married tomorrow in a small quick ceremony. She wanted her to have a cake. The only thing she told me was something ivory w/white borders and maybe celtic knots if I could do something with that. I used the triskel because it looks like scrollwork and I could easily duplicate it. Hope she likes it. oh, and all b/c icing 8" & 4" rounds.

Masquerade Cake
12,8 & 6 round w/BC. Mask, Feathers & Balls made from Fondant. Feathers and Balls painted w/Super Pearl Dust. First time doing a stacked cake like this. Was very nervous about setting it up. It appears to be leaning to the right a little in the picture but in person it did not look like that. Now that I am looking at the pic I am so nervous...........

Pastel Flowers Baby Shower
What a challenge...This was for an Indian client that wanted a cake for a baby shower/wedding reception with chocolate on the bottom and yellow cake w/ blue b/c on top and pastel flowers all over. Idea taken from Cakes by Sam's blue & yellow flower cake. She also wanted 100 chocolate covered strawberries and a few strawberries on the cake. Not something that I would normally do but she said for her culture this was perfect.

Ballerina Kitty Cake
12" & 6" round b/c with fondant ribbon roses and number 4. Color Flow cats. Once again the black did not dry enough and the color bled. :( Out of six of them these two were the best plus the other ones broke. grrr. So tip for color flow.....do outlines in advance and allow plenty of time to dry...days not hours before filling in.

White Fondant W/chocolate Letter
10" & 6" Round Almond Cake w/Fresh Strawberry Filling, Fondant Covered and Fondant Pearls made w/Pearl Maker from Cakes by Sam. Fresh Roses & Ribbon Accents. First time w/Fondant ~ lets just thank goodness for the ribbon! :) White Chocolate Letter brushed w/ dry Super Pearl Dust. Tried it wet but chocolate was too waxy to stick so tried dry & it worked!

Apple Tree Cake
Lemon Cake w/Vanilla BC Icing. 12", 8", 4" rounds. Little girl wanted Princess Snow White and Dora the Explorer cake. Her Mother send me a cake pic of plastic Dora on a leafy, grassy, cake and told me to use my imagination on how to combine the two. So I came up w/ Apples for Snow White and Trees/Grass for Dora. Added plastic Dora and SnowWhite at party. Also, I wanted to thanks ChristyCakes for the inspiration I got from her tractor cake. Thanks!

White Chocolate Fleur Du Lis
White Chocolate Fleur du lis w/Hershey's Chocolate Icing and "Darn Good Chocolate Cake" from the Cake Mix Doctor. Think the Chocolate Fleur du Lis is becoming my "signature" cake. Gets lots of ooohh's & aaahh's......and from a candy mold!! Who would have thought that? Think it's the timing w/katrina in all......

Gumc Retirement Cake
12" sqaure & 8" round. Both double layer, almond flavored white cake with fresh strawberry filling and almond BC icing and chocolate covered strawberries. The Methodis cross & flame done in the chocolate transfer method that Squirrelly posted. LOVED IT & SO EASY! Had to deliver the cake 50 miles away. Top cake shifted on the drive over. Thank goodness I was able to use the Choco Strawberries to hide it. This was probably the most perfect/even cake I did until the drive over.
