Princess Leia Boushh Birthday Cake
My son's 8th Birthday cake - his request! :) A Lego Boushh, the bounty hunter disguise for Leia from Return of the Jedi. The cake is held up with pipe framework, the base (legs) are carved rice krispies, with two trimmed chocolate loaf tin cakes on top. The head is a small dummy cake, covered with fondant and piped royal icing. The arms are fondant covered pipes, which are held in place by the loaves, as I couldn't find a 'T' junction that wasn't bulky. Features/decoration all piped or painted on. Boushh's helmet is also chocolate cake covered with fondant. The board covering is royal icing with edible Rainbow sparkles.

Skylanders Portal Of Power - Light Up Birthday Cake
Skylanders Portal of Power. Vanilla sponge with 'sprinkles' for colour. Top cake has a circular hole removed. I used a solar powered colour changing bulb (from pound shop) and sunk this into the hole. The pillars are carved from rice crispy bars and covered in fondant. In between the pillars is grey coloured frosting. The disc on the top is rolled painted sugarpaste, left to harden, it sits on top of the pillar inners and covers the exposed light bulb. Glows more at dusk but you can just see a green light underneath the skylander. I used a real skylander on top.

5 vanilla sponge cakes (3 bread tin, 1 round and 1 small roasting pan) to make Iggle Piggle! Chocolate fudge filling. All components of Iggle Piggle made up as separate 'cakes' so that I could start whilst the last cakes were cooking (under a bit of time pressure!). Fondant covering. Fondant accents. The grass is coloured coconut and the round 'ball' flowers made from fondant covered in coconut. For my son's 1st Birthday, an Iggle Piggle from In the Night Garden.
