Teal And Gold
Birthday cake for my friend, Gracie. I used the Moroccan silicone onlay from Marvelous Molds to create an impression in my buttercream (I did not use it to transfer fondant to the buttercream because I ran out of material!!). But it worked beautifully with piped buttercream. The plaques and bow are modeling chocolate.

Floating "straw-Ber-Rita" Beer Can Cake
I've seen so many of these photos on google but I really needed one with a more feminine twist. So I came up with this one pouring into a gumpaste margarita glass. I didn't have any special molds so I just used a real margarita glass as my mold. The can is real but everything else is edible. A big thank you to Jessica Harris and her craftsy class "clean and simple cake design." I couldn't have done the horizontal stripes without it!!

They also just got married and are going back to their home in China...So a going away, wedding shower, glad you work here kind of cake lol...like I said, interesting! Sides of cake read "double happiness" in chinese; A traditional wedding saying :)

Fishing Tackle Box
Totally copied the idea from WendyVA here on CC. Cake is 9x13 sheet cake cut in half and stacked. Iced in buttercream with some airbrushing details. All lures and tackle are handmade from fondant. The beer bottle is isomalt formed in a bottle mold I made using Chef Dominic Palazzolo's supplies and instructions.

Beer Bottle Cake
I made this cooler cake to look just like my husband's little green cooler he takes with him everywhere. First time making a mold and working with isomalt. This was so much fun, I would definitely do it again!! The only thing that is not edible are the labels :( Bottles and ice are isomalt. Cooler is a peanut butter cake with banana buttercream, covered in milk chocolate ganache.

Diamonds And Pearls Gift Box
I made this for my daughter's 8th birthday. She was so sweet to let me have free reign with the design! Gum paste rose, black fondant billows with edible pearls coated in pearl dust. Lid and billows are satin ice fondant, the rest is Michelle Fosters fondant recipe (first time making it, and I love it!). The "bling" is the only part that is not edible but I had to add it for sake of prettiness. lol

Zebra Purse Cake
I just love doing these cakes and I learn something everytime I do one. The handles were a pain!! They did not want to stay put but only due to poor planning on my part. I wound up using several toothpicks to hold them in place. I would have done the bow differently as well if I had to do it over. Made it a little more floppy instead of so rigid. I still liked the way it turned out :)

Zebra Baby
Handmade zebra figurine out of fondant w/ tylose added. Stripes are hand painted. Gum paste and fondant accents. Used my cricut cake machine to cut out the circles of gum paste and zebra icing sheets. Had so much fun doing this cake but it has a sad story...right after the customer picked it up, she had to slam on her brakes to avoid hitting a cop, so naturally the cake went flying...landed upside down on the floorboard of her car!! She didn't even make it 1 mile down the road...I repaired the zebra but the cake was a total loss :( This is why I insist on delivering!
