Exotic Wood Acoustic Cake
This is my 2nd guitar cake. I chose Zebra wood for it's exotic look. This full scale guitar was made for the singers that donated their time to our local scholarship fundraiser hosted by Cory Morrow each year. It was standing on the table beside a guitar that all the performers were signing for auction and a couple actually tried to sign it! That was quite a compliment! Thanks to fellow CCer CakeMan007 for the use of his stand.

My Science Project Aka Butterfly Cookies!
This is one of my two cookie entries in the Austin Cake Show last weekend. Still painting, half blind, and sleep deprived at 3am the morning of the show, I decided they reminded me of my high school science project. Revised my opinion after a few hours sleep but too late to change my theme...

Victorian Bride Ii
My 2nd gumpaste bride (the 1st met an early demise) took 3rd place at the Austin Cake Show & Competition Feb 28th. She was dressed entirely in Sugarveil which gets very dry & brittle and the veil kept breaking so I used lace at the last minute to complete the look. Big Mistake!! During meet & greet the judge advised that I should have left the veil off completely rather than use a non-organic material. BIG deduction! Oh well, live and learn...

Sponge Bob Square Pants Birthday Cake
This half sheet cake, covered in yellow butter cream, was for a three year old birthday girl. Her nickname is Chumba Wumba...don't ask, I have no idea...LOL! Sponge Bob was made from fondant, each piece cut out like paper doll clothes. Her Grandmother called to tell me she LOVED it.

Green Floral Wedding Cake From Ossas 2009
This bright green square stacked cake was inspired by two co-ordinating plates from Martha Stewart for Macys. One had the bright primary flowers and the other white royal out lines on a green background. I was beat out in this catagory by a cake that had a old man riding a carrot on it! It was a great cake but I wish I knew what the caracter is from. Can anybody help?

Acustic Guitar Cake
Full size Acustic Guitar Cake made by me, and my friend Don, for a 17 year old's birthday. It was based on his guitar. His mom said he liked it so much he didn't let any one cut it for hours! This was the second time I used my air brush and I'm really hooked now! I can't imagine mixing all those colors by hand! The stainless steel base was purchased from Two Sweet Sisters.

Baby Feet And Clothes
This is a half sheet chocolate/vanilla marbled cake with butter cream frosting. All decorations hand cut from vanilla fondant. Piped butter cream trim and clothes line poles. I used texture mats to give the little clothes a more realistic look and feel. Lines and clothes went arund base. Flowers dusted with shimmer dust. Tap-its used for lettering.

Ribbon Rose Stacked Wedding Cake
This fondant covered cake is decorated with ribbon roses, spring flowers, sugar ribbons, and sugar beads. Flowers were accented with edible sparkle dust. This is my first time making MM fondant and I love it! Tastes great and so much less expensive than ready made. Thanks for the recipe dellboi2u. First time making ribbon roses as well. They were fun, quick, and easy.
