Vanilla cupcakes, strawberry laffy taffy frosting. First try at putting a shape inside my cupcakes...very easy and cute! TFL!
Aaron's Red Carpet
Made for my nephew's 18th Birthday! Top and bottom tier devil's food cake filled with caramel, middle tier white chocolate cake filled with raspberry jam. All covered in ganache, then fondant. All decor is fondant/gumpaste.
Halloween Cutout Cupcakes
Marbled chocolate (black) and vanilla (orange) cupcakes, orange marshmallow buttercream frosting. Fondant toppers with disco dust. Had so much fun making these, and the sparkly dust looks so much better in person! They were gone in minutes! TFL!
Made for my niece's 2nd birthday. My first try at a barbie cake! It was definitely fun! I used the Wilton Doll pan, plus a 3 inch cake underneath to fit the full length barbie. Funfetti cake, buttercream frosting and filling. All decorations are fondant except the wire that wrapped her hands together and held her "bouquet". First time using my tappits too, love them! Thanks for looking!

Made for my Grandmother. I got the idea from CC member Yummy-Mummy-Cake-Creation...of course it doesn't look nearly as good as her cake did, but I tried! My Grandmother liked it and it tasted good, so it was worth it. Chocolate cake, marshmallow and almond filling, made to taste like rocky road.
Another baby made from my First Impressions mold. Made for a Valentine's Day Cake Challenge display table. Everything is edible except the wires for the arrows. Thanks for looking!
Mardi Gras Mask
Made for my Sister-in-law's birthday. She had dinner at a New Orleans style restaurant and my brother wanted a Mardi Gras style cake. It was a very busy weekend, so I only had the day of to work on this...there's so much more I would have liked to do to it! Chocolate cake with ganache and raspberry filling, covered in buttercream. Fondant accents, and gumpaste mask, all hand painted. Piping gel was used for the gold 30 and around the mask. TFL!
Dots And Shoes For Baby
My sister-in-law asked for a cake with dots, shoes, and her baby's name on it using the colors light green, pink, and yellow. This is what I came up with! I did look at a lot of pics from CC, so thanks for all the inspiration...especially PDXSweetTreats for her Mary Jane template! Top tier was chocolate cake with whipped ganache filling and covered in ganache. The bottom tier was vanilla cake with strawberries and cream filling, covered in buttercream. The whole cake was then covered in fondant with fondant dots and ribbon. Shoes, bow, and name plaque were made from gumpaste. TFL!
The Cake's On Fire!
Made for a friend who works in the fire department. Thanks to cassiescakes and myKzooKid for their cake ideas! Vanilla cake with strawberries and cream filling, iced in buttercream. I made the flames and fire hydrant out of gumpaste, "water" was tinted piping gel. I really liked how it turned out! TFL!
First time making my own mold (used amazing mold putty from Michaels)! So much fun, I thought the shell came out perfect! I used white candy melts in my mold, then painted with petal and pearl dusts. The baby was made from a mold too (bought from First Impressions). TFL!
Made to match an invitation for a bridal shower. Vanilla cake filled with strawberry glaze and fresh strawberries, iced in buttercream. Tiles were gumpaste/fondant mixture. All hand painted. The sides and back were different from the front because it took me hours to draw and paint the front 5 tiles! Royal icing for "grout". First time making the carnations! I did not love this cake, but the bride-to-be did, so I guess that's what matters most! TFL!
My second baby made with my First Impressions mold. Wanted to do something for Halloween. DH suggested a bee costume. Everything was hand cut and molded (besides the baby, of course), no patterns. I think it turned out cute! Can't wait to try more! TFL!
Sage And Chocolate
Thanks to misterc for the inspiration! Made for my mother's birthday. Her favorite color is green and I love sage, so I colored my buttercream sage, then I made the chocolate wrap and chocolate "S". The rose is gumpaste. Cake was devil's food with chocolate mousse filling. TFL!
Princess Castle Cake
Made for my niece's 1st birthday! Strawberry cake with twinkie filling, pink buttercream frosting. Towers made of paper towel tubes, sugar cones and cake cones, wrapped in fondant. Thanks to the many castle cakes already done on CC, especially newsums and sweettoppers. So much fun to make! I just found out another niece is on the way! So, I might get to make another one in the future! TFL!
Chocolate cake, almond buttercream, covered in fondant. Cards and chips were fondant/tylose mixture, then drawn/written by hand. Thanks tinabelle722 for the cake inspiration! Everyone loved it!
I made this for a friend having her 3rd daughter. 6" tier was chocolate cake with raspberry filling, 8" was vanilla cake filled with strawberry glaze and fresh strawberries. Buttercream frosting, fondant accents. First time using my baby and lace molds. Thanks to jardot22 for the inspiration! TFL!
Thanks to brea1026 for the great cake idea! I followed almost everything she did, except the border. Funfetti cake for the bottom tier, cake dummy on top (I wish I could get my corners that perfect), iced with buttercream, then covered with fondant. Elmo, balloons, bows all made of fondant with tylose. All other decorations are fondant, including all hand rolled balls. Thanks for looking! The birthday boy really enjoyed this!
Coconut Cream Cake
Made for my sister's coworker. White cake, coconut cream filling, coconut buttercream, covered with sweetened shredded coconut and topped off with a cherry. Smelled delicious while making it...hope it tasted as good as it smelled!
Baby Shower Cupcake Tower
Vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, buttercream frosting, used Wilton tip 2D. Cake covered in fondant. Bow topper made of fondant with tylose powder. Made for an office party. They had a jungle theme, similar to her baby bedding, hence the wrappers and picks, with pastel blue, yellow, and green as the color scheme.
German chocolate cake, coconut pecan frosting, marshmallow "popcorn". Wrapped in wax and scrapbook paper.
Jacksonville Sharks Afl Hat
Made for my DH birthday. He is always wearing hats and recently got interested in Arena football. Chocolate cake, hot fudge and chocolate sprinkles for filling, covered in ganache, then Duff's fondant. I got the instructions from the Confetti Cakes Cookbook. I also made the board. TFL!
Ganache And Raspberries
White cake, red raspberry jam filling, ganache, fresh red raspberries. This smelled so good the whole time I was making it. Made for my DH's birthday for work. I hope it doesn't all get eaten so he can bring some home for me!
Hole In Thirty-One
Made for my brother-in-law for his 31st birthday. They had a whole weekend vacation at a golf resort. Vanilla cake, strawberry filling, buttercream frosting with fondant decorations. I accidently forgot the "hole" around the flag base. Oops! And the strawberry filling overflowed on the 3 hour trip to the resort...luckily near the back of the cake so I could still get a decent pic. But it tasted yummy anyway!
