80's Themed Birthday Cake
This was my first attempt at a topsy turvy cake ( carved out, no molds) and I must say, I'm not doing that again unless I have the topsy turvy molds. The construction of this cake was very challenging for me. I started with 3 tiers, but the bottom tier fell apart from the weight of the top 2 tiers, so I had to improvise and make it two tiers. This was for my friends 30th birthday who had an 80's themed birthday party, he wanted to incorporate things he grew up with (movies, music, cartoons, etc) from that time. Overall I was happy with the outcome because he loved it so much, and I haven't seen any other 80's themed cake quite like it. The cake was red velvet and carrot cake.

Pregnant Belly Babyshower Cake
Wow! This is a first for me and I was nervous the whole time making it. One, because its the first time I make it and two, its the biggest cake I've ever had to do! This was for 60 servings I had to put two 16x20 cakedrums together to hold it. I took the advise of other cc decorators and used my mixing bowl to bake the belly top and added a bottom of a 12x2" round. The boobs and torso were carved out of two 8" rounds. The cake is vanilla rum with buttercream filling, bc crumbcoated and fondant covered. The customer wanted to add the rubber duckies on top for the baby. Overall, I was really satified with the outcome and the customer loved it! Just what she wanted!

Pepperoni Pizza Cake
This was a special request for my friend's 10 year old nephew. He had personally asked me to make him a pizza cake for his birthday. Following the tip of many CC cake decorators, I used strawberry roll-ups for the pepperoni. The "cheese" is piped white buttercream. To get the "baked" look on the buttercream crust, (I didn't have a gas torch to flame it) I did have a regular candle lighter, so I sprinkled a little bit of sugar on the "crust" and lit it up with the lighter to caramelize the sugar.... and there you have my best interpretation of a "baked deep dish pepperoni pizza" cake!

Shoe And Purse Birthday Cake
This is my second attempt at the "Shoe and Purse cake". This one was all chocolate, even the purse is cake. I was asked to use the same color scheme, pink and brown, from the first "Shoes and Purse Cake" I made, but this time I think my purse came out alot better, and I changed the style of the shoes, also a lesson learned second time around on the shoes: Use wooden dowels inside the heel of the shoe. This way it'll stand the weight of the shoe while it dries without sagging down and wrinkling....just an FYI. Any tips, feedback, comments, etc are always welcomed. Thanks for viewing!

Birthday Cake Watching Tv
All edible 3-D "Watching TV" birthday cake. This was an order for a birthday "boy" thats really into his electronics. So we came up with the idea of making a scene of having him watching tv. I made a replica of what their living room looks like, including the IKEA paper lamp (Jaja!). This was my first try at "Fondant people" Any feedback on outcome or advise on improvements are greatly welcomed. The cake was red velvet with buttercream filling.

Jungle Themed Kids Birthday
Jungle themed cakes for my grand-nephew (is that what I should call my niece's son?) The images are from his nursery theme. The cake was chocolate and vanilla with ganache filling. My niece wanted two cakes! So the big one to share has the little tiger and giraffe and made a small cake just for the birthday boy with the monkey on it.
