This cake dummy is from my Wilton Fondant and Gumpaste class. We dusted the carnations with luster dust on the edges of the petals, but I think they looked better white. I like the heart shaped border and will probably make that for another cake.
This is a cake dummy from the Wilton Fondant and Gumpaste class. We used the fondant punch to make the diamond shape cut outs. The topper is made from a little round box with a gumpaste daisy on top.
My Bday Cake!
THis cake has so many first for me: first SMBC, first MMF, first time with the green tea and ginger cake recipe, and first stacked cake. The MMF was a little difficult for me, so there are lots of bumps. Also, I throw it together very quickly and everything is a little off center. Not my best work, but one of my favorites because it was for my own bday!
Wilton Class Pink Fondant Cake
From my Wilton Fondant and Gumpaste class. My first try at draping and making the "fantasy flower."
Pb & J Cake
I made this in a hurry and couldn't get the icing to smooth. I used fondant for the crust and buttercream to ice the rest. It's a peanut butter cake with pb & j filling. I had a lot of fun making it and will try to perfect the style next time.
My First Fondant Cake
This is my favorite cake from my classes thus far. I think I would have left the roses off, because they're a little too much look for me. I'm not real crazy about the bottom boarder either. I'm open to ideas, because I'll be making this again.
My First Wedding Cake!
This retrotastic number was my first wedding cake. Will Wilton please update their books?!
