A Different Kind Of Belly Cake
I made this cake for the guys at my DH's office. I figured, "There's plenty of the other belly cakes, why not do a lifelike version?" LOL! Covered in Indydebi's BC (A hit with the Army trainees!), MFF, the "hair" is BC mixed with PG. The can is made of gumpaste, some airbrushing and RI. Enjoy and try not to get sick! LOL! TFL!

Another last minute cake. Requested on Wednesday for a Sunday wedding. This is inspired by Elisa Strauss' Plaid Cake. Photo was taken AFTER the bottom tier had a huge injury due to a topper (bride selected) that was too heavy and too tall. Prior to a torrential downpour during the ceremony (bride and groom didn't even get to kiss). "New" topper is a gumpaste bow painted with very dark chocolate petal dust mixed with brown luster dust. Ribbon is fondant/gumpaste. Covered in BC. Thanks for looking

I'm so tired after working on this cake! The towers are paper towel rolls covered in fondant, the turrets are gumpaste with glitter flakes on the spiral. The flags are also gumpaste as are the door, trees and blossoms. The windows are RI. The cobblestone path is fondant. The cake is a 12, 6 and 3. The smaller cakes are covered in BC and the bottom is covered in MMF. TFL!

Frosty: Deconstructed
I'm the queen of last minute. My bible study was changed to tonight and I have to bring something to eat. Had lots of RI leftover so I decided to do cookies. But I only had Christmas cookie cutters (don't have time to make a new one). So I took my snowman cookie cutter, flipped it upside down and pinched the hat into a cone shape. The ice cream is RI with the exception of the chocolate which is, well- chocolate. The jimmies are also RI as I didn't have any sprinkles. The cookie is a NFSC. TFL!

This was a last minute cake I did for a good friend of mine. Her cousin was supposed to make her a cake and backed out on Thursday, the party was for Saturday. The toys and plaque are gumpaste, the bow is fondant as you can see from how "unsmooth" it is the cake is covered in BC. There was supposed to be a third (middle) tier, but do to the short notice I didn't have time to get SPS so I used dowels and yep, they shifted and that tier was trashed. I tell you, I'm gonna have good karma after this one! TFL!

Year Of The Nco
Covered in Indydebi's BC, the "thing" (I have no idea what the coin/insignia/seal is called) is made out of MMF fondant with a little tylose kneaded in. Everything else is BC. They gave me a piece of paper with the design on it and here it is. There's a glare from the mirror it's sitting on so the border is looking funny. TFL!

Javier's Paradise
This is kind of a weird cake. My friend wanted to learn how to do a TT cake for her son's b-day so I agreed to help show her, it was supposed to have the animals from Madagascar on it, but we haven't been able to find them so we just used the plane. She baked the cakes: chocolate and WASC and I filled and iced them with Indydebi's BC. I did all the decoration (still waiting on the animals, but hey) covered in MMF. The tree tops are fondant, the trunks are gumpaste. The waterfall is fondant as are the rocks. The sign is gumpaste. TFL!

Joanna's "hostage" Mardi Gras
I call this cake a "hostage" because although it looks like it's for Mardi Gras, this birthday cake was actually done in December and I just received it from the b-day girl (it's March!). Anyway, it's WASC, Pineapple and Chocolate Fudge cakes all filled with my BC and covered in MMF. The masks (1 of which is not shown), name and "17" are gumpaste. The beaded border and accents are all MMF. Sorry for the clutter, but I didn't take the pic. TFL!

Heart's A Flutter
This is February's celebration cake for our bible study group. The heart's are made out of fondant. I went back to using my BC recipe after failing at testing all the other BC recipes on this site. The cake is my white cake. The heart's are airbrushed, I want to shape them as if they were falling onto the cake. TFL!

Sensual Chocolate
What says "love" better than a chocolate heart? This is my soon to be "world famous" (LOL) chocolate ganache torte. A very rich chocolate fudge cake with a mocha mousse filling, covered in chocolate-cognac ganache and decorated with whipped ganache, chocolate-cognac ganache and white chocolate. TFL!
