Military Retirement
This is the largest cake I've ever done. I put two 14inch squares side by side. One Chocolate, one WASC. Iced with Whipped Bettercreme. I couldn't smooth it. The beret is RKT, the ribbon rack and stripes are fondant, and the scroll and nametag are GP. Our donation to my husband's first sergeant's retirement.

Moving To Alaska!
We are finally heading north from Georgia to Alaska. Had a going away party for my kids and here's their cake. My MIL and SIL helped. It's Hershey's choco cake with Chocolate buttercream covered in Satin Ice. Snowballs are just buttercream, and Frosty is Fondant. His arms are coffee stirrers :)

Rushed Wedding
My friend had a summer wedding all planned out up north, but then her fiance got tasked to deploy very soon, so..... Off to the JP they went. She is having a BBQ here for the reception, and of course she would never be able to get a cake on such short notice, so I offered to whip one up for her real quick. And by whip up of course I mean spend two days baking and decorating. LOL! I hope she likes it...I hate how the top tier is leaning :( She gave me no direction on what she wanted, except the topper. She said their first date was fishing, so she thought it was perfect. The flowers are sugar. All iced in BC. WASC.

Bronze Star
So, my husband was awarded the Bronze Star this past Friday and I am SOOO proud of him. I had a BBQ in his and his friend's honor. They both earned the medal from their last deployment. Anyway, AF symbol and medals are gumpaste (the one in the middle is an achievement medal. My husband said he couldn't have done it without his team, and one other guy came to the BBQ from his team and that is the medal he earned) Anyway...congratulations is fondant. Everything else BC. WASC cake.
