It's always difficult doing an original design, when something is so popular. Ice mountains, snowflakes and lettering is done with isomalt. Everything else is done in fondant and/or gumpaste. TFL

I really adored doing this cake. The barrel cake is covered in mmf and then hand painted and dusted to give the wood grain look. Logo and writing is hand painted with royal icing. When I got a picture, from a client, with a rug in it, I wasn't sure how I was going to get that design into cake. I thought about just incorporating the colors in a design, but when I sat down to decorate, this just came to me. The cakes are covered in fondant and the shaggy bottom tier is piped with buttercream. TFL
I just love little monkey's and they are even more fun to create. This little guy is made out of rice cereal treats and then covered in fondant. The cupcake is made out of fondant and I attached sprinkles to it. For the dots, I just ruffled out some circles and painted them with a gel paste/vodka mixture. TFL.
