Bathday Cake
This is a little cake made for a friend. Her daughters first word was "bath" so for her first birthday she had a BATHDAY Party. The cake was Yummy. Banana cake filled with dulce de leche that I caramelized, fresh banana and buttercream( nibbled at a few pieces while I was eating it) Ok..carved the cake into a bath shape( just a slant at one end of a loaf cake) and then covered it. I then made a base of styrofoam that I covered in blue fondant. I then let it set overnight. Turned it over and that bottom now formed the top of the bath. I attached it to the board(covered in tiles of black and white fondant) with support sticks. I then put a layer of buttercream on to seal it and a layer of fondant and then put the "water in"(this was a piece of cast sugar I moulded over crumpled aluminum to give a water effect) I put the body of the baby in the cast sugar while it was setting..careful as the heat of the molten sugar will melt the fondant so wait till the absolute last minute before the sugar starts to harden to put the body in). I then made all the other little bits from fondant...soap, taps, plug, duckie, towel, bath mat. Painted the face and attached the head and arms. Piped on the hair in 2 different colors. I then hand rolled the big bubbles from pulled sugar. I also added the tiny bubbles that were dragees(I could not find white dragees so I washed silver ones..patted them dry and rolled them in cornstarch. I then rolled those in a fine white lustre dust. ) Added the letters and...that was it:)

Geisha
This cake was inspired by Japan. Japan as a "location" or 'Place" to me that is symbolized by the Geisha. A living, walking work of art. The discipline and attention to detail of all they do in life encompass all the Japanese as a nation exude. The "cake part" was the body of the geisha as well at the rocks. I covered her in layers of fondant to create a kimono. Various color, embossed and painted. . The feet, hand modeled fondant.. The Parasol was a piece of pastillage cut and dried, then hand painted. The handle and ribs were added lastly and then attached to the body. The hair was hand moulded black fondant attached and then slashed to create a "hair" effect. The flower and ornaments made from gum paste and attached. The lantern, moulded from gum paste. The rocks were cake covered in Fondant and then air brushed and patterned with a sponge. The tree:the trunk and primary branches were a central core moulded of gum paste and wires then slashed to create a bark effect . All the other branches were wires covered in gum paste. Left to dry and then air brushed. I then attached all the blossom afterwards. The Board "gravel" was covered in rice I broke down in a blender.

Spherical Cake Set Over Ice
Oh boy how did I do this....with difficulty:!! I made the bottom half of the cake on a styrofoam semi circle. I then carved the top layer and covered the whole cake in 2 layers ROYAL icing for support. I then covered each half in a piece of fondant. I made a "negative" mould for it to rest in while it was drying. I then sandwiched the 2 halves together with a very solid support that went through the styrofoam ONLY ...very VIP!!! I then attached the pearls and cast an ice bowl with flowers in it with space for the support to go through. I then attached the cake to the ice bowl...but as the ice melted the whole cake started shifting and leaning over....it was touch and go but thankfully we got to carve it before the whole thing fell over:)

Panda Cake
HI Peeps Here is a quick def on how I made the panda. I never use these pan shapes so I stacked 2 cube cakes. I then carved them into 2 spheres. Covered them in fondant and attached them together with a support down the centre. The arms, Ears and legs were modeled from fondant and slashed to create a fur look. The Bamboo was a rod of fondant and the leaves were gum paste cut outs.

Santas Sleigh
Thank you to all your wonderful comments. This is a quick note on how I made it. I made a template for sides of the sleigh as well as the front and back. I then cut out 2 sides in pastillage and allowed them to dry. I then cut the front panel and allowed it to dry over a piece of aluminum I folded. The back and bottom were tricky. I cut one long strip. I then piled a few tiny boxes together to make a "step" shape(this was to create the "seat" in the sleigh". I then laid the long stip over this at the one end and the long end formed the floor of the sleigh. When all of this was dry, boy putting it together was very difficult. The front panel dried slightly out to the rest so I filled all the gaps with royal Icing. I then piped all the detail work on and allowed it to dry completely. I then airbrushed it gold and added a few touches of glitter. I stuck some gems on for detail. Made all the pressies with fondant and filled the sleigh and placed the whole thing on top of a plain chocolate delice cake.

Prada Handbag Cake
Hi Peeps, Wow..thank you for all the wonderful comments. It was for a 40th Birthday. I made the bag very easily. Simple sheet cake that I sandwiched between 2 cake boards for support. Each side was covered in fondant that I rolled on the plastic light covers you get at home depot for those industrial offices and then attached. The black central bit just rolled fondant. The zip I rolled a piece of black fondant over a zipper and then painted it silver. The handle I moulded 2 "handles" from chocolate and covered them in fondant and attached. All the "garnishing" "buckels" etc very easily done. They are just a series of shapes etc cut and attached. The Shoe: I cut the base from Pastillage and set in that "shoe" shape. the heel was a support dowel stick covered in black fondant. the front part of the shoe was done first, I took black pastillage rolled it out and then a piece of cream pastillage and laid it on top to create the inside and outside of the shoe of the . I then cut out the shape and attached it onto the shoe, with some tissue paper and cardboard underneath for support. The heel part was a little tricky as it was made from one long piece. Wrapped around the heel and secured. When they were dry I brushed on some midnight blue luster dust. The heel I Just laid red petals around the heel and fastened. The bow last minute shapes I moulded and stuck some rhinestones onto. The label was rice paper.

Ed Hardy Cake
Wow-Thank you to everyone that has commented. I did not expect so much praise. THANK YOU. Here is some info about it. I made it for my partner who is mad about skulls so I thought ED HARDY. The cake was covered in fondant an then air brushed black and splattered with some bright color. The skull and heart were modeled from white chocolate and then hand painted. All the rest was made from Gum paste and hand painted. The flamed were air brushed. The whole cake was finished off with an edible ink marker to create the "tattoo" look. the sides were finished with a design I had printed on rice paper.
