I just bought a $10 Cinderella doll at Wal-Mart and wrapped her legs in plastic wrap so it wouldn't be messy when I pulled her out of the cake. (I gave my daughter the doll for her birthday). The dress is fondant with royal icing details. Since I had extra batter, I made cupcakes and a 6" round to write "Happy Birthday" on with some candles.
The base of the laptop and the games are yellow cake covered in fondant. I cut out each key, one by one, for the keyboard. The screen is black foam core board. Tres leches cake with strawberry and whipped cream filling, orange butter cream icing. The scrolls and writing jump out more because I piped them in yellow first, then went back over them in pink. I sprinkled some fine pink sprinkles on top for a little shimmer.
