Tiara Butterfly Flower Cake
This cake was for my daughter's 5th Birthday. She was very specific in what she wanted; tiara, butterflies and flowers. It is a 10 in Red Velvet and 8 in. Carrot Cake covered and filled with a crusting cream cheese frosting. The tiara and butterflies are made from Royal Icing. The flowers are buttercream drop flowers (this was my first and last time, too fragile kept breaking when I applied to the cake). The writing is Gum Paste with funky tappits and covered in silver luster mixed with clear vanila extract. I also painted the tiara with a mix of vanila extract and silver luster dust. I was running low on frosting and didn't feel like making a another batch, which is why there are so many bare spots on the cake. Tried to cover them up with flowers. Thanks for looking! :)

Pink Love Bug Cake
This was for my daughter's First Birthday. I call her my little love bug, so loved the idea of doing a love bug cake. I found several pictures on here of different lady bugs and just combined a few to get what I wanted. The lady bug is made from half a sports ball pan, the smash cake is the other half. The rest of the cake is 2-10in. one chocolate and french vanilla both with cookies and cream mousse filling. The buttercream is a whipped buttercream I found on here that is from the Wilton website. It didn't crust very well (even with a little extra meringue), so couldn't smooth the cake as much as I would have liked. Thanks for looking! :)

Zebra Purse And Shoe Cake
I made this for my daughter's 7th Birthday. She said she wanted hot pink and zebra stripes. After browsing the galleries in here, this is what I came up with. The purse is RKT and the shoe is gumpaste, which I made using the tutorial from here. The cake is dark chocolate with cookies and cream filling and buttercream frosting. I had a tough time smoothing out the BC and making the heel on the shoe, hopefully with more practice I'll keep getting better and better. Thanks for looking! :)

Flip Flop Cake
This is my first flip flop cake which I got a lot of ideas from several cakes on here. I'm stll learning and see several flaws, but I had so much fun making this cake. It's a chocolate cake with Rum/Espresso BC, covered in fondant and fondant figures. I used brown sugar as the sand. Thanks for looking. :)

Fourth Of July Cake
I saw this cake in the photo gallery here and thought I would give it a try. It's a red velvet cake (WASC) with cream cheese filling and frosting. The frosting was supposed to be a crusting frosting, but didn't crust very well even after I added an extra cup of PS. I still haven't learned how do all the "fancy" decorations, so was only able to basic drop stuff. This was the first time though that I used the Viva paper towel and I think it would have worked very well had my frosting crusted better. Now just to figure out how to get my frosting even all the way around and on top, because there are bare spots on the sides. I used a bench scraper to try to make it flat, but kept scraping too much off.
