Redfish
6", 12" stacked cakes roughly covered in buttercream icing to resemble water. Saltwater redfish tops the cake with a lure in its mouth. Surrounding the 2 cakes are oyster beds in which the fish feed. Fish is rice crispy treats covered in fondant/gum paste mixture. Oysters are pure fondant painted to resemble the saltwater delicacy.

Birthday Celebration Gator
Alligator is composed of a 6" cake for head, Two - 8" cakes for body and tail (carved). Snout, legs, party hat and half the tail is made from rice crispy treat covered in white chocolate. Cake iced with buttercream and topped with fondant. Crawfish and snake are sculpted out of gum paste. Small cake is 2" cake iced with buttercream.

Camp Out
Camp out celebration! Cake is covered in homemade buttercream. Tent created with rice crispy treats covered in white chocolate then topped with fondant. Fire pit, rocks, flames, logs, signs, trees and feet created using 50/50 fondant and gum paste. Campfire would not be complete without a flame (candles).

Big Frog
After getting some ideas from Cake Central this frog cake was created for a little frog hunter. The body of the center piece frog was carved out of styrofoam then covered in fondant. The arms and legs were formed from wire then covered in fondant. Hat was also styrofoam covered in fondant. Small frogs were hand molded using fondant/gum paste mixture. Cake was iced with a buttercram icing then decorated with different size circles in using different colors along the hunting theme. Various sizes and colors of fondant balls were used to border the cakes and on the top tier to finish the design. The personal size frog cake was a cupcake covered in fondant. Fondant head and legs were attached to complete.

Cajun Alligator
This Gator was a Groom's Cake for a Cajun wedding. Head and body were made out of cake and the tail and legs were formed of marshmellow cereal treats. Before covering the cake in fondant, accent pieces using fondant were placed on the gator for the bumps on back, eyes, nostrils, and head. After covering the gator in fondant, it was hand painted for coloring and shading. Board was covered with buttercream "swamp mud" and piping gel was added for the water. Cat tails and grass were made out of gum paste creating the swamp scene for a unique addition to a Cajun wedding!

Tiki Hut
Knock-off of a tike hut shown on Ace of Cakes.....Cake stand base was 1/4" plywood with 1 inch dowel rods screwed into base. PVC pipe was cut to go over dowel rods. PVC was then covered with 50/50 gumpaste/fondant. Tiki designed was carved out using clay carving instruments. Cake was iced in buttercream then gumpaste/fondant panels were used to cover sides. Edges were faux bamboo that was glued to the edges using gumpaste glue. Top of tike hut was carved styrofoam covered in gumpaste fondant held high above the cake using 1/2" dowel rods. Tiki hut panels and top were marked with a knife to resemble thatch then painted with yellow and brown to achieve the look. Flowers and flip-flops were also made of gumpaste/fondant mixture. Crystal brown sugar was used to make the "beach" area to finalize this design.

Black And Gold
Made for a very special celebration - New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl!! Cake covered in golden yellow fondant. Border piped with buttercream icing. Small fleur-de-lis on the side of the cake are made of fondant using a fleur-de-lis candy mold. The cake topper is fondant coverd rice krispy treats formed into the shape of a fleur-de-lis. It is made of several pieces that are pushed close together to form the full design. The cake itself sits on a board covered in black fondant. GEAUX SAINTS!!!!

Pink Poodle
Pink Poodle was the theme for this birthday celebration! What better way to design it than with a Topsy Turvey cake. (My 1st) Poodle was made out of mixture 50/50 fondant/gumpaste. Entire cake covered in homemade mm fondant. Top adorned with fondant balls attached to wires. Name and #2s were made in advance then attached at the end.

Taylor Swift - Our Song
Created for my granddaugher's 6th birthday. Tough cake to design, didn't want just a guitar cake. Themed after "Our Song" video. Guitar on top represents Taylor's rhinestone guitar creation, but done using clear sugar crystals. Two tiers are iced in buttercream icing. Cake platform is an upside down round pan on a board surrounded with plastic wrap then draped in fondant to look like fabric. Flowers, boots, note, and roses are made out of 50/50 fondant/gumpaste mixture.

Big Green Tractor With Hayride
Inspired by a tractor pinata and made especially for my grandson's b'day party on Halloween. Platforms for both tractor & hayride were made of plywood & dowel rods. Tractor is 14" sq cake cut & stacked to make tractor. Hayride cake is a 9" sq cut to fit. Wheels of both are made of styrofoam covered with fondant. Characters, wood planks, pumpkins, leaves and hay bales were created with fondant/gumpaste mix. Characters were designed after his grandfather (tractor driver), the birthday boy (fisherman costume), and his sister (kimono). Witch and priate were added to the Halloweed theme.

3-Ring Circus Celebration
Three circus rings depicting lion, elephant, and seal acts. Each cake is adorned with a whimsical circus clown. Animals and clowns are made of 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. Elephant, lion, popcorn and stands are molded with rice cereal treats then covered and formed to character. The cakes are iced in buttercream icing and accented with fondant decorations. The final touch to connect the rings are big top poles drapped with flags.

Bottom part of Treasure chest is cake covered in fondant, marked with wood grain look & airbrushed in brown. Top of chest is carved out of styrofoam & covered the same as bottom. Trim work on chest is fondant painted with gold dust. Pirate & palm tree were hand shaped out of fondant/gumpaste. Island is rice krispy treats covered in buttercream icing then topped with edible landscape sand. Hidden in the island is a small personal cake for the birthday boy. Inspiration from the Tinkerbell movie. Gumpaste/Fondant flowers, fondant "5" with sprinkles. Outer gardens are rice krispy treats covered in green buttercream icing. Large lavender flower is actually the birthday girls personal cake for her celebration. Made with lots of love for one special little girl - my granddaughter! The look on her face and an "I love you Mimi." was all I needed - cost for that, priceless!!!!

The inspiration for this cake came from my dog and my granddaughter's best friend. What better way to celebrate a dog themed birthday! The cake was baked using a metal bowl, then carved to form the shape of the head. Ivory colored fondant was smoothed over. A nose, eyes, and ears were added and all painted with detail The bone was also made out of fondant.

This bright and cheerful cake was made for a true dog lover! The bright green top tier featured a replica of my granddaughter's 4-legged "best friend " Turlie and a large muti-colored bow with curls. The bottom tier featured an assortment of dogs. All were hand shaped using colored fondant.

Football Fan
This rectangle cake featured two favorite football teams. The top was iced green to symbolize the football field and included goals at the endzones. A large football was centered, iced in chocolate and finished off using a paper towel to give it that leathered look. The sides were decorated with royal icing Saints and LSU logos.

Basket Weave Wedding Cake
Made especially for my son and his bride for their wedding. This garden theme cake consisted of 4 square tiers. Two tiers were decorated using a round tip white basket weave. The cake was accented with yellow gerber daisies, mini hydrageas, and greenery all hand-made with fondant/gumpaste. For the top, the bride choose a simple arch adorned with flowers. A wire fruit bowl was used to create the base. Painted white and turned upside down it fit perfectly into this garden tthemed wedding!

Brad's Marlin
Created with love for my son's special day. This groom's cake consisted of 2 chocolate basketweave tiers that sat upon a fondant draped board (hidden by the berries). The top of his cake was a blue marlin. The center of the marlin was carved styrofoam covered and hand shaped with fondant. It was then hand painted. Chocolate dipped strawberries and fern cascaded down from the top tier to finish off this special cake.

Wedding Cake
This was my first full fondant wedding cake. The 5 tier ivory creation sat upon a silver plateau. Three inch columns separated the tiers and were adorned with fresh flowers and greenery. The roses, swags, and drapes were created using fondant. The bride chose an initial to top off her cake.

Crawfish Boil
Made with love for my grandson's 2nd birthday. The large crawfish was his personal cake for the special day. The head of the lg crawfish is actually a small cake that was carved to form & covered in red buttercream icing. The tail & claws were made ahead of time using rice krispy treats and covered in red fondant then hand painted with detail. The surrounding smaller crawfish, corn, potatoes, lemon & sausage were all created using a mixture of fondant/gumpaste. Represents Louisiana crawfish boil.
