Roses For Mom
This cake was made for my first cake class, my first attempt at roses. It was a coconut cake with pineapple filling and coconut bc frosting. I tried to get the color of the flowers to match my mother's favorite ones, sterling silver (lavender) roses. The color looked great in person; I couldn't quite capture it with the camera.

Monkey Birthday Cake
A birthday cake for a 2 yr old boy. It was a yellow cake with chocolate and vanilla frosting. The mother, a friend of mine, baked the cake parts herself and chose the icing (store-bought) to accommodate her children who have food allergies. I carved and assembled the cake then decorated it. I had a lot of fun with this one, probably because one of the children in the family is my goddaughter, so I really felt like I was decorating this cake with love!

Pooh Bear Cake
I made this cake to welcome a friend's new baby girl. The cake is dark chocolate with whipped ganache filling and bc decorations. This was my first try at a frozen bc transfer for the Pooh bear. I took the image from the cover of my old Pooh storybook from when I was a kid. And, except for busting apart 3 bags while doing the lace on the sides of the cake, I had a great time making this one! Thanks for looking!
