My First Wedding Cake!

My First Wedding Cake!

I made my first wedding cake for a neighbor's daughter this June. It was casual beach themed wedding. They didn't need a big cake so I made a 3 tiered 8, 6, & 5 x 3 rounds. Yellow cake, with french vanilla buttercream, covered in fondant, sugar pearls, and real shells (at the bride's request). I used lilac pearl dust for the fondant draping, and brown sugar for sand with the cake topper provided by the bride. I got my inspiration for this cake from this website in addition to the recipe for the french vanilla buttercream - THANK YOU!!

Hello Kitty Cake

Hello Kitty Cake

My 1st time working with rolled fondant! My daughter wanted a HK cake for her 7th b-day. This is a 1/2 sheet cake, carved, rolled fondant, filled with lemon buttercream. Everyone loved it! =)

Barbie Island Princess Doll Cake

Barbie Island Princess Doll Cake

This is my first doll cake! My daughter wanted a Barbie Island Princess themed cake for her 5th b-day. I used the Wilton Wonder Mold cake pan and butter cream frosting. The hardest part was getting the right color for the dress! The funny part is that I had to 'pop' out her legs because she was slightly too tall for the cake. So I wrapped her dress in rubber bands, plastic wrap and then stuck her in a pvc pipe. That did the trick! =)
