Barbie Island Princess Doll Cake

This is my first doll cake! My daughter wanted a Barbie Island Princess themed cake for her 5th b-day. I used the Wilton Wonder Mold cake pan and butter cream frosting. The hardest part was getting the right color for the dress! The funny part is that I had to 'pop' out her legs because she was slightly too tall for the cake. So I wrapped her dress in rubber bands, plastic wrap and then stuck her in a pvc pipe. That did the trick! =)

Thank you! For the main part of the dress i used a combo ofsky blue and electric blue (Americolor gel paste) and for the scrolling a combo of electric blue and navy blue. It took a while to get it just right, I kept comparing to the dress on the doll while I was mixing it! HTH! :D
