My daughter was having a sleepover for her birthday party and wanted a cake to make the theme. Red Velvet cake with Cream Cheese Icing. Boy, I had a devil of a time gettng the icing to be smooth with sharp edges. Hate my icing job, but love all the other elements of the cake. The girls had so much fun picking out their fondant girl. The close up picture of the three girls at the head of the bed is the true purple color. I used a different camera and the other pictures didn't pick up the true color.

CSM: Thanks for looking and critiquing. Graduation cake for a girl whose favorite movie is Little Mermaid. Confettie cake (base was WASC) for bottom tier, chocolate cake for top tier. Oreo Filling for both cakes. Had a devil of a time smoothing my icing...didnt use my "normal" recipe. Everything hand modeled out of MMF. Rock is RKT covered in MMF.

CSM: The florist hadn't arrived yet or forgot to bring the brides cake topper, so that's why there is nothing on top of the cake. I'm sure it will look so more complete with it on there, hopefully it arrives. Red Velvet cake with chocolate filling and buttercream icing! The Bride provided all the cake stands, but there weren't enough so the rest of the cupcakes (47 of them) were kept in the back. There were 8 cupcake designs total...I'm upset I didn't take a picture of them before getting to the restaurant. Had I known not all of them weren't going to be displayed, I would have taken pics at home.

8" White cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing. Friend's daughter wanted 4 princesses on her cake since she is turning 4. They wouldn't all fit on the cake so I offset the cake on the board and stuck 3 of them on there. Had issues smoothing out the purple icing, you can see my mistakes. Rosie loved the cake so that is all that matters!

I donated a cake to a charity function for a silent auction and the person who won it wants an all buttercream cake with a Monster Truck Theme on it. The donation was for a 10" round cake. She decided she didn't want to "upgrade" and do a Carved cake of anything with fondant or fondant figures. So I'm going to do hand paint this on her cake using BC. Here is the sketch that I did for her. She wanted blue with some flames. She just approved it. If anyone is looking for a template to use for a FBCT or a CT or to hand paint, please feel free to use this.

My daughter's friend is a cancer survivor and each year they do the Relay for Life Overnight Walk. They have a tent and raise money. This year they asked if I could donate a cake for their silent auction. She wanted a gold ribbon to represent children with cancer. Buttercream icing, accented with gold luster dust and topped with a gumpaste Gold Ribbons dusted with luster dust. Top o cake sprinkled with edible glitter. 8" round double layer cake.

Hannah Montana Pool Party Birthday Cake for my daughter's 5th birthday at the aquatic center in town. She had to have Hannah, so I combined the 2 themes. I'm not happy with my Hannah, but my DD didn't even notice all my mistakes on this cake. DD added the flowers. WASC with strawberry filling and buttercream icing with fondant accents. I was rushed otherwise there would have been more kids in the pool and on the lawn listening/watching Hannah. LOL. CT Hannah sign.

chocolate and white cake with chocolate buttercream filling. My friend just ran in the Surf City USA Marathon in Huntington Beach Cali and her husband asked that I make her a cake for her return tomorrow. Shoes and surf board are gumpaste. Medal is a chocolate transfer. Writing is chocolate, sand is ground graham crackers. I hope he likes it!

11x15 chocolate sheet cake with raspberry filling and buttercream icing. The Scream was handpainted (freehand might I add) onto the cake using a paintbrush and colored buttercream. Thanks to everyone who helped me with the "how to's" to the "My cake broke". I couldn't have done this cake, nor finished it without everyone on CC who came to my rescue! I am super duper over the top pleased with this cake. I can't wait to present it tomorrow at work.

CSM: This was in the October Throwdown...got my butt kicked! LOL. I can't remember the filling on the bottom tier, but it was a chocolate cake. Top tier white cake with an Chocolate Hazelnut Italian Cream filling. Iced in BC. All decorations made from gumpaste (MMF w/Tylose). Everyone at work LOVED it (both design and taste). I couldn't have been happier with the way this turned out. TFL!

First attempt at a topsy turvey. Got the idea from someone who entered into the 2008 Halloween contest (Maimerbaker is their name), except mine is only two tiers - thanks to whomever you are! Overal I'm okay with this cake. It certainly isn't my best, nor my favorite, but I think (hope and pray) they like it. I think I did good job capturing our login page and logo, as well as all my fondant pieces. I'm not crazy about the monitor stand or my borders. My writing is okay. Date 2 big and crooked. I'm hope they don't notice, but you know we are our own worst critics. Let me know what you think of the end result. Double layer, torted 8" square WASC cake with strawberry filling and BC icing
