This is all buttercream frosting. I got the multicolored leaf effect by using three color tubes, orange, green and brown, and constantly switching the leaf tips (#67, 70 and 372) from tube to tube to make the different colored frostings mix.

Choir Director's Birthday.

Dave is our church choir directorl Can you guess his age by the cake? (It would have been better if his age were 34.) Do you recognize the tune?

Buggy Bill's Birthday

The bugs appear only along the side of the back of the cake. It looks like a normal cake until you turn it around. The bugs are made of buttercream frosting with black coloring. My daughter wants bugs on her next birthday cake also. I think I will use M&Ms and cover them with frosting to make them crunchy. Did I mention that Buggy Bill is an exterminator.
