Little Mermaid
This is my version of The Little Mermaid...I did not have the cake pan so I got online to Wiltons cake pan site and found the instructions for the pan, used the picture and drew my own design on parchment paper. I then used that as my guide to hand shape each piece of the mermaid with fondant. The rest of the decor is also hand shaped fondant. The cake is a 9 x 13 sheet -confetti with buttercream icing.

Baseball Theme Detroit Tigers
This is my try at a detroit tigers theme cake for an 8 yr old boy who loves baseball. I saw a similar cake here on cc- my fondant for the brim of hat was too soft- next time I will use fondant and gumpaste mix for a better hardening brim- the bat and hat were confetti cake covered with buttercream and fondant, and the ball is rice krispy treat covered in fondant= also will use buttercream or melted white chocolate next time for RKT...the logo was hand cut fondant that I used a picture of a real hat with the logo. Turned out fine- birthday boy really liked it so all was good!

Batman Sheetcake
This batman themed cake is an 11 x 15 sheetcake inspired by another CC - i don't remember the exact , but this was my attempt to make it with whipped cream icing under the MMF made with marshmallow fluff and powdered sugar- not the greatest results with the whipped cream icing - made some indents in the fondant- my grandson still loved the cake ! Thanks to CC for all the inspirations...

French Vanilla Cappaucino "cup" Cake
This is a french vanilla cappaucino cake made for my daughter-in-law who loves coffee drinks ! I used a clean empty soup can to bake the "cup" part of the cake. I covered it with fondant and made the straw from fonant also. The rest is frosted with buttercream icing. The top of the "cup" is buttercream icing and then drizzled with melted chocolate.

Hello Kitty Character Cake
This is for my granddaughter's 6 th birthday. I made the frosting using a whipped cream - bad idea! The whipped cream was very difficult to pipe the stars - will stick to my favorite buttercream frosting for these star piped cakes from now on! Tasted wonderful though- everyone loved the flavor!

Cheez-It Birthday Cake
I made this cake for my husband's 50 th birthday! He is the biggest cheez-it lover ever...he will eat a box every night if he could! I made the plaque from directions I found in another area of cake central- can't remember...this is the very first time using this technique. It turned out just fine- next time I will take more time with the edible image- need more practice, but this was a hit! The "salt" is large sugar sprinkles! Fun cake!

Tinkerbell Birthday Cake
This cake I made for my granddaughter's 4 th birthday. She loved tinkerbell that year...every year of course it's something new! I don't mind- I enjoy baking and making everyone smile! This character cake was fun and easy- I should've used a little bit lighter flesh color though. She loved the cake !
