Pale Green Orchid Spray
CSM: my first wedding cake!!! Finally! Pale green gumpaste orchids sprayed down the sides of 4 tiers- white cake with white chocolate mousse filling. Fondant whimsical lines and balls. It was so ironic- the cake ended up being for my sister's ex-boyfriend's brother! I had no idea until his family came up to me when I delivered it. Small world!

Sweet Treats
CSM: this was my entry in the 2009 austin cake show for the sculpted cake advanced division. Both kids are all cake covered in fondant, with the exception of their necks being crispy treats and the first inch of her pony tails was crispy treats for support. The structure was a single dowel going through each of them, which gave me gray hair on the drive to Austin. The backpack was cake covered in fondant. The skateboard was fondant/gumpaste with crispy treat wheels and the teddy bear was crispy treats covered in fondant. The ice cream was buttercream. He's pouting because he lost a scoop of ice cream on his lap. :) It took first place and best of division. :) Thanks for looking!!

Table For Two
CSM: this was my entry in the advanced special occasion category at the show in Austin 2009. All fondant and gumpaste work except for the chocolates- they were hand made. The string work around the bottom took forever but it was worth it in the end- it placed 1st in it's category! :) Thanks for looking!

Wolf Portrait
top view of a white cake in buttercream icing I did for my cousin's birthday- I drew the wolf on and then added texture to it. The image looks like it might not be straight on the sides but it really is an illusion against the black board. It also has a black border but you can't that at all! :) TFL

Jungle Birthday Cake
CSM: top tier is carrot cake with cream cheese filling and bottom is chocolate cake with vanilla mousse filling. Fondant figures and zebra print- hand painted leopard print on top tier. I was in the process of working on it and only had a few minutes for a picture,so I could not take a more professional picture- kind of blurry from camera phone but I think you can see it well enough. TFL!
