Blue And Lavander Cake
My mom is having a bbq for my hubbie and sis, who are June babies. Had some leftover fondant, so made this cake for them. Ran out of fondant, so didn't have enough for a bottom border, but I think I am going to make one with buttercream. Made the badge with a chocolate mold that I bought from Country Kitchen Sweet Art for $2.00.
Learned so much from this one. It's 2-6', 2-8" and 2-9". I carved all the cakes into the form and then filled it with raspberry filling. When I tried to apply the buttercream, that baby was slipping and sliding all over the place. I guess I should have refrigerated it before icing it. Thus, the imperfect shape. Overall, I'm happy with it and the birthday girl cried when she saw it so that's what makes it all worthwhile!
Blue Baby Footprints
Inspired by many beautiful cakes on CC with this design. I just love making baby shower cakes.
Pistachio And Brown Wedding Cake
Cake is chocolate cake sandwhiched between cheesecake. Had a heck of a time smoothing buttercream because it kept sliding off the cheesecake. Someone remind me why I make these cakes?? LOL Finally finished at 3 am exhausted and wanting to throw it out the window.
Gift Cake With Lid
I tried and tried to do this without the slits in the lid. Gave up and just whipped out the sissors. My hat's off to those of you who can pull off making the lids in one piece without cutting the corners.
Taylor's Hannah Montana Cake
Made for one of my favorite little girls, Taylor. Inspired by the many awesome Hannah Montana cakes here on CC.
I found the chicken and boy clipart by googling "chicken pox" and couldn't resist using it for a cookie. I hope the recipient has a sense of humor....
