Art Deco Flowers
I've been wanting to do something art-deco themed for a while, so I was really happy when I was asked to make this. Christina's husband just said she likes orange and art deco, and gave me free reign. So I tried to portray an image of an old marble building being reclaimed by a jungle. The only part I hated doing was the writing, took me three attempts to do it right and there was no way I was going to try doing it straight onto the cake! I would like to thank my 13 year old daughter Amber for helping attach all the dragees ;)

Pike Wedding
I decorated this for my best friend, who married another of my best friends this past weekend. Inspired by something we found on the net, but after one good look I could never find it again to give credit! It was a real labour of love, I can't begin to imagine how many hours the figures took as I wanted to get them looking just like the real couple. They are made out of fimo so they can be kept forever. They were so worth it, just to see the look on the happy couple's faces.

Black And White With Hearts
The couple who ordered this just wanted something simple, blkack and white, with hearts on wires,. I offset the top square and used a stucco effect with RI as it's so quick, I also had a massive cake for a 5 year old to make so I had to keep it simple. The ribbons are velvet which are expensive but I thought it was worth it.

Whimsical Birds
Sorry for the awful washed out photo - I took the tree design from the invitations, and had a play with it. The tier with trees is a dummy which meant I could make it ahead of time, and the top is fruit, the bottom two were chocolate. Quite a mission to do this, drove me to tears and cost me a lot of sleep. Although I really liked the result I think I want a break from wedding cakes for a while!
